Afew weeks ago Tony De Bolfo published the below article on carltonfc.com.au which we were able to reproduce on the Blueseum. It details the amazing story of former Blue Andrew Dougall during war-time and is a fascinating read on its own:

The footnote however details 3 (was
Blues in which the Carlton Football Club had no birthdate details. The remaining 3 are:- Edward 'Ned' Joseph Bowen (born 1889)
- James 'Jim' Francis Caffery (born Carlton, 1872)
- James 'Jim' Hamish Watson (born circa 1896)
If you know anyone with these surnames can you please ask around to see if there are any relations that may be able to help. You never know, with the right question TC / Blueseum may be able to help the Club / AFL historians complete this picture.
