Who'd have thought a year ago we'd be spewing about possible injuries to Hampson and Ellard !! Hammer out for 2 months btw, maybe back around R21/22 so hopefully comes back 2 weeks before finals |

Quote: Carlton Football Club INJURY UPDATE: Scans on Shaun Hampson’s right knee confirmed he has a grade 2 strain of his posterior cruciate ligament. Shaun will wear a brace for two weeks and he is expected to be out for six to eight weeks. NO! Just after he started playing in great form and was doing everything right! |

Who'd have thought we'd be doing well with 7 rookies in the team, + a 26 year old recruit from SA?? |

I think it's a combination of great recruitment, and the additions to our Coaching panel. The side is playing a completely different style of footy as compared to last year....aggressive tackling mixed with great running and sharing of the footy......oh, Yazz! Our ability to keep the ball in our forward zone is great to watch.....there's always a feeling that ''a goals going to come out of this''.......and it does........ ![]() |

We're lucky (probably not the right word) that we have Warnock to come in. |

Our ability to keep the ball in our forward zone is great to watch.....there's always a feeling that ''a goals going to come out of this''.......and it does........ ![]() All of the above. lets not forget the quality of our selections. They are young too...some forget that. From there is the time required for them to develop as individuals and to gel as a team. We've been at it since we drafted the FS selection Waite, along with pick 45 in Simpson and the rookie Carrazzo in 2003, followed by Walker, Scotland and Setanta in 2004 etc etc...it's called building a premiership team. We are Carlton and that's what we do. Add Judd and the 3 No 1's...and there's more than that. My bet is that even if Warnock and Hammer were injured, we could still compete with the Cats and pies. Our list oozes quality. Carrazzo is a B&F Simpson was a TAC captain, but consiedered too small, as was Betts and Garlett. From little things big things grow. I have never lost the faith...that's why I'm happy to pump time and money into the club...I believe. Once we got Judd...well go back to the day he chose us and remember how you felt about out prospects for the 17th Cup. What changed since then? You. Now, some do say I have rose coloured glasses, but I do like to have a punt, and fairdinkum I win a bit with my Carlton bets because there's a lot of doubters, non believers and seriously negative Carlton folk, and there's always opponents who don't want to believe we'll be back bigger than ever. Lets face it we have been a bit up and down, but that's because we're young...you should know that...we are not ST Kilda..we have a winning culture...you have to value that. Go Bluebaggers. |
