So 2011 we win the last 17 for our 17th ....

Let's hope 2012 we don't win the last 18 for our 18th, unless of course we then got to 19 and 20 teams :sly:

does that mean we can only ever win 22 premierships?

Lets all be realistic we are on the improve but to think a premiership is on the cards this year is a 1 in 10 proposition. Its possible but everything and I mean everything would have to go right.

Its nice to dream sometimes so I cannot blame the op all I can say is ......

Yeh not sure he was referring to the number of teams in the competition.

I agree but hey i dont know what the betting odds are but at this stage going by ya 1 in 10 proposition i would lean to 1 in 4 because collingwood, geelong and hawthorn are the only other 3 sides who i think can win it.

I agree but it is not beyond the realms of possibility. Once we get a few injured players back we strengthen. We have shown we can beat Geelong. Hawthorn is unknown and Collingwood we are a bit behind.

But the rest of the competition is not that strong this year. The last three premiers cureently occupy the top 3 spots. We are the next spot down.

Whilst it is unlikely to be this year with a bit of luck it is not beyond the realms of possibility.

In '95 I saw 24 of the 25 games we played. It was the best year I have ever had watching the Blues. That year we also had short term injuries to Kernhan and Williams.

If history can repeat with a +1 then another magic year.

It sometime just fun to Dream

If history repeats then we are going to have to lose to the bottom two sides in a row by ten each goals first - in 1995 it was Sydney and St. Kilda.

Hey.... hang on.... Who are we playing over the next 2 weeks? Port and Brisbane.... two of the bottom teams!!

So we need to lose the next two in order to win No. 17? :sly:

Well yeh, except for the fact we've already lost to the top 2 teams.

My understanding was there was substantial contributions made to the end of season trip players fund after those games.
