Another game where we can consolidated our top 4 spot. It will be a good challenge which I think we can rise to! Go Bluebaggers |

It will be good to watch West Coast play Port Adelaide now, and pray for some West Coast injuries to come out of it |

The Duke wrote: In - 206, Waite Out - Hammer, Hendo I think we should play Hendo for the rest of the season as a project player. The poor kid will get no confidence from being dropped. He was unreal against his old club last week and a bit down today. Just keep on playing him and the gap between his best and worst will get smaller. I think he and Waite could work like a couple of twin towers (Cloak and Dawes anyone?). He is going to be good Hendo but needs some time. On J. Waite does anyone know if he is injured? I expected to see him this week. He is very important to our structure. |

Bit harsh to drop Hendo I think. I suppose on team balance if Waite is avialbale we might have to, however I think he deserves more weeks. Sure, his first half doesn't look that good statistically, but if you watch the game, our delivery to him in the first half was terrible. Thought his second half was fine. |

The stakes for next week Quote: 3 Carlton 38 4 Hawthorn 36 5 West Coast Eagles 32 (assuming they beat Port today) 6 Sydney Swans 30 We win next week (and assuming Sydney lose to Collingwood next, which is almost a formality, and that Hawthorn beat the Courageous Ones) Quote: 3 Carlton 42 4 Hawthorn 40 5 West Coast Eagles 32 6 Sydney Swans 30 That's the top 4 two games clear. And if Hawthorn lose to the Courageous Ones (who they do struggle against) Quote: 3 Carlton 42 4 Hawthorn 36 5 West Coast Eagles 32 6 Sydney Swans 30 Six pts clear in 3rd spot. Almost makes you want to barrack for Collingwood and Essendon*....almost ![]() |

If you look at West Coast's draw they haven't beaten anyone of note - we should win comfortably as we did against Sydney. |

The Duke wrote: In - 206, Waite Out - Hammer, Hendo Thats what i would do. It would be nice to keep playing Henda but we are serious contenders this year and need to keep the heat on our players. He is going to be a good player but he isnt as reliable as Waite and there is no room in the forward line for them both and walker. Walker and Waite are our version of the collingwoods twin towers and Kreuzer our much better version of L Brown. Backline doesnt need changing up as we are keeping teams to low scores and it only struggles when the mids ease up on the protection or heat on the ball as ratts puts it. The last quarter being an example of that. Id think about bringing in Carlos ahead of Warnock against another team as second ruck but not against WC. |

I rate WC moreso than the Swans that we just beat. They just have more individuals (Kerr, Kennedy, Cox, LeCras, Niknat etc...) that can hurt an opposition and a pretty damn good press. Outs due to injury: Ellard & Hampson should see Warnock get a run. Will the MC be brave enough to give McLean another run? I'd be filthy if Henderson is dropped after a relatively quite second game back. He is a player we need come finals time and needs the run for his own confidence. Bring back Waite (if fit) and play him off a half back flank, thus releasing Gibbs to a midfield role. Blues by 43 pts... |
