That's just Rohan trying to divert attention from the fact that he had the Bombers (his team) finishing higher than the Blues. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think he had us making the 8. Anyway Murphy and Judd are certainties. Jamo is a good chance but Demetriou has an unwritten law that you must have two top seasons before you get in. Scotland, Garlett and Walker would be in the top 50 but not AA. |

We've always suspected that media outlets deliberately write puff pieces about us knowing full well what happens afterwards. The bombardment we're now seeing tells me they're hoping more than anything that we fall on our faces. They're desperate for it to happen. That said, I do agree with Connolly's team for the most part (FB line too tall, would have Boyd instead of Watson, Josh ahead of Cloke and Jack debateable, and would probably have Mitchell or O'Keefe instead of Priddis) Quote: B: Michael Jamison, Daniel Merrett, Matthew Scarlett
HB: Heath Shaw, Sam Fisher, Heath Scotland C: James Kelly, Jobe Watson, Marc Murphy HF: Scott Pendlebury, Lance Franklin, Dale Thomas F: Jeff Garlett, Josh Kennedy, Andrew Walker FOLL: Dean Cox, Chris Judd, Gary Ablett I/C: Aaron Sandilands, Joel Selwood, Matthew Boyd, Matthew Priddis |

Has there ever been a positive article written about us which wasn't secretly trying to 'make us fall'? Seriously, the way some of you guys react to media articles is hilarious. Do you really think an AFL player, Carlton or not is going to read a positive article about himself or his club then proceed to be over-confident and consequently fall on his face? These are professionals. Playing footy is their job. If a bad article is written about us, you guys cry. However, when a positive article is written, whether is it true or not, you still want to cry. Please, if what is written in the article is the truth and actually reflects the situation at hand, then accept it. Don't go complaining that they want us to fall. Oh the conspiracy against Carlton! |

His game last week proved he is the best back pocket in the league. Easily ahead of Scarlett or Shaw for that matter. ![]() ![]() |

I'd agree with most of those selections. Scotland is a bit lucky, but his form has been good this year. Jeff hasn't had his best season, but Ballantyne's form has been interrupted. Walker has been great, and in a balanced team I think he deserves his spot. Pies fans will think Cloke and Dawes were stiff. Tigers fans will wonder how Riewoldt didn't make it, and fair enough. Hawks fans will sook that their midfield didn't get a look. The Swans were deliberately left out of it to fire them up against us. Devious! Fiendish plot! Connolly has $$ on the Swans! |

I prefer Rohan's nominations for AA than yours. Since when has Demetriou had anything to do with AA selection. I know one of the selctors and I have asked him about the process, and they take it very serious indeed. You only get one crack at it, and you have to justify the selection to have some credibility from the public. The public know their bias exists. Ever commentator has mentioned Jamison is leading all other FBs for the AA, so if he repeats his efforts in the 2nd half of the season, he's in Demetriou or not. Did you have the Blues for the 8 before the season started? |

Agree with everything you said except for Garlett. He was up there in the top 3 in the comp for pressure acts, tackles I50 and goals per game. For that specialized fwd pocket role, can you name anyone better? |

I'd have Yarran ahead of Scotland for the AA HB. In fact I'd have Yarran as the AA HB. The meters this guy has gaines are equivalent to 3 kicks evry run he's had, and then he has a ping, or sets up a shot at goal. That's what McLeod use to do....he went allright in the AA nominations. Keep it up Yazza. |

Keep it up Yazza. At his best he's a walk up AA. Just scintillating. It's consistency that keeps him out. Let him have another pre-season and little more time to really get accustomed to the role and then we can tout him as the AA HBF. |

We've been subjected to all that shit for 10 years with no comeback other than our history. Now we can really scare the shit out of them....like we did prior to 2002. I'm glad their nightmare has reappeared after all these years. Burning up? Lets burn them out and burn them off. Give them something to hate us for again...our arrogance. |
