Cheers Jim - terrific game from the big men. Hampson is royalty at the moment. And Kreuzer is an exceptional competitor. Lovely.

There's been a bit of talk about being third on the ladder, but I won't believe it until I hear it from Grro

Probably another 3 votes to Judd, he may not always get the most touches but the ones he get are amazing. When we need a clearance Judd gets one or sets one up, when we need a goal Judd sets one up (wish he would kick one though). He does it when his team needs it. Everyone raves about what Selwood did last night to get his team over the line but Judd does it every week for us.

The bloke is a star.

Good team effort again today.

Highlights:
Hampsons Mark
Touhy's goal and general play
Walker doesn't look like missing
Kreuzer took a couple of good grabs and hasn't lost his footy brain
Mitch Robinson - Human wrecking ball!
Murphy good game again - a smokey for the Brownlow?
Jamo killed brown for 3 quarters
Ellard, Scotland, Simpson keep on playing their rolls well.
Hendo marked well in 1st part of the game.

we move up to 3rd and are a real chance to cement a top 4 finish in the next few weeks. Waite, Warnock, Houlihan all could come in and have an impact. :thanks:

Would have thought Murphy got the nod today, with Jamison netting the 2 votes.

THIS ... and we still haven't beaten anyone above us on the ladder :banghead:

I thought 60 points was probably a pass-mark for this match, so I though we did what we had to do. We didn't play particularly well or poorly, just beat them being a class or two above.

Brisbane did their best to turn it into a scrap, so it was hard going. Our inside 50s were pretty poor for large chunks of the match but our movement of the ball out of defensive 50 was class.

Speaking of class, how good is Zac Tuohy? The next Andy McKay if I've ever seen him.

Ellard is another player that's really growing on me. Just does the simple things brilliantly.

Great job by Jamo too, made Brown look third rate.

Disappointed though to see the extra attention on Murphy still. FFS Brisbane, he turned you down 5 years ago - get over it!!

I would have given Mitch the 3 votes today with Murphy getting 2 and Judd the one... But umpires see it differently, that's why Judd will probably get 3

Not that it really matters, lets just hope McGuire has a cry again this year.

We are turning into a super power of the AFL.
Next year we will kick some major arse!! ... Possibly even this year!!!
- Hampson been good
- Walker is outstanding at the moment in the forward line
- Jamison toweled up Brown until he got subbed off
- Judd is sitting back and just contributing at the moment
- Robinson had a blinder
- The dangerous duo of Gartlet & Eddie are doing their roles perfectly
- Hendo looked much better today, seems to be moving better and looks slimmer/lighter
- Scotto was great again today
- The return of big Kruuuuuzzzze today was fantastic!! .. and he didn't look too bad

Move up into 3rd, got a tough game vs Sydney coming up, lets steamroll these b@stards!

Have to say I barely notices Judd today - was surprised to see he got 31 touches!

Very happy with that win - Brisbane were physical and challenged us sporadically, yet we did enough to triumph comfortably.

The usual suspects - Judd, Murphy, Jamison, Simpson, Scotland etc - aside, I am really happy with how our younger tier, and some of our "bottom 6", players have improved markedly this season. The likes of Robinson, Hampson, Ellard, Walker, Henderson, Yarran, Garlett + new additions in Tuohy, Duigan and Curnow have been OUTSTANDING this year. Endless kudos must be given to the players themselves & the coaches - Ratts, Richardson, Brown, Capuano, Riley, Harris, Webster, Barker (I hope I haven't forgot anyone) take a bow. I firmly believe the ability to turn later picks and rookie picks into AFL-quality players is what keeps you alive in this day and age and we are cruising along at the moment. Slowly starting to maximise our talent.

Only dampener is the fact we let them wriggle a little when we had them by the throat at 3 quarter time, but who cares. We can't kick butt 100% of the time, yet.

Great win

Murphy BOG today but generally an even performance from many

Good first up games from Hendo and Kruze

Great crowd but relatively quiet... it was just one of those days where you win without being exceptional

For those that watched on TV, does Mitch have anything to worry about with the tribunal?

He fell over Black after running in like a goose, then fell on top of him so it's 50/50 in my book. Not awful but definitely stupid.

Shouldn't think so - went in for the bump & Black dove forward, Mitch went straight over the top of him.Clear free kick but no report but who knows with these idiots. Interestingly Mitch got up and went to apologise to Black straight away but the Brisbane idiots just went him.

I only saw it once, but I shouldn't think so. He got Redden with his arm on the chest, and Redden's legs were inexplicably turned to jelly as he fell on his arse. Edit - and I think the Black incident was more accidental, he got up immediately to apologise before Adcock had a go at him while he was on the ground :| Should be fine.

Another massive performance from Robinson anyway, he attacks the ball with scary disregard for safety (both his own and others) and is rapidly developing his ability to work through traffic, select the right options and hit them consistently. I must admit, when I heard Cazz rated him top 10, I was little unsure why, but now he has had some time to fill his frame, get some confidence and adapt to AFL tempo, he looks a gem. Yarran and Robinson, only in their 3rd season. Unbelieveable

Backed them to win by more than 10 goals

As I posted at half time:
I wasn't missing Waite, Bower, Laidler, White, Setanta, Houlihan, or Warnock.
How do we fit them in?

Hampson is showing glimpses of what I expected him to show in 2 years time. He's gunna peak in 2012-13 onwards.
At least his doubters saw the glimpses. He will hold 'em and he will kick 'em and he's going to be huge.

I still expect us to play in the GF. We can take 2nd on the ladder by the end of Rnd 16

Waite might have to be squaeezed in at CHB. The forward line looked beautifully balanced.
Henderson presented well in the corridorand is only going to get fitter. He will kick those types he missed today.
He's definetely a marking target. So is Walker, and having Kreuzer or Hampson down there...well those 2 are different types too.
We are going to confuse the @#$%&! out of our opponents with the 3 Amigos Walker Betts and Garlett kicking 10 each week.

So how do we fit Waite into the forwardline? Same with Houlihan? Tuohy has Armfield's spot for now, you'd think. Laidler?

A spot in the Carlton team is hot property. We are hot property. it's our time. We have arrived.
Kreuzer just changes everything. He helps us win a Flag.

3rd on the ladder.
3rd best %
3 best players in the country Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Kreuzer, Jamison, Yarran, Scotland, Simpson, Walker, Betts, Garlett...did I say 3?

Well done boys, Ratts, MC.
19 goals 9 behinds is good kicking, and there's shit loads of improvement to come with our forward entries.

Hendo, Kreuzer and Tuohy will be better for the run.
Tuohy said on TV that he was cramping early in the 4th then after the goals and the pats on the back he forgot all about it.

Like jimmae posted previously, we can always add a bit of polish, and today's inclusions Hendo, Kreuzer & Tuohy surely did that in spades and there's a couple in the 22 who had better improve their disposal and keep the pressure on their opponents week in week out if they are not going to make way for the polish we can add from the reserves.

Swans NEXT!

 I would love to claim it as my own but that would be cheating. I think you can put that 1 down to WH and SR with me waiting out the back for the cheapie handpass.

Now both Yaz and Robbo have their fitness heading in the right direction towards genuine AFL level they both look so much better. Yaz can run out games and Robbo can regain his wind quicker each time it gets knocked out of him

Regards Cazzesman

Would it be wrong of me to head out to Brissy Airport tonight to welcome the Lions home?
