It's a given that they are there for on field ability.
Having said that, they do sometimes have to appear on the telly.

of all our boys, who do you rate and why?
Is their a diamond in the rough we should be getting out there?
Whose appearance have you enjoyed in recent times..
or....is the cupboard bare?

it's easy to criticise our young stars, but really they are at a supremely self conscious age (Murph and Gibbs)and no doubt will improve and be more natural as years progress.
I have really enjoyed Juddy, but he is rarely sighted.
I never know what he will say, and find that intriguing.

Have enjoyed Rusty and Jammo...particularly Jammo.
Really like Scotty..but feel he is shy.

My rough diamond nomination will be Lauchy H.
Saw him once, and he was really amusing, and speaks well.

Judd, Jamo, Duigan and Henderson all speak very well.

We need to get Jamo in front of the cameras at every opportunity. Articulate, confident and pretty easy on the eye*

JR is also a pretty good performer, but the problem is he's only ever asked the same questions about how rough it was early in his career. Gets a bit tiresome. Duigan for obvious reasons is another.

Putting an uncomfortable Murph or Gibbs on the spot isn't the way to inspire confidence in prospective members, and there's a time and place for Juddy's whole "Footy's not really that important" thing. The club needs to stop focusing just on 'The Holy Trinity' and utilise skills our other boys have.

As he continues to mature, I think Yarran could be a very good performer in front of the camera. I've seen a couple of interviews with him, and I think he'll be a good'un. That smile will melt hearts too*

Having players on The Footy Show is almost a poison chalice, and this, and other TV appearances seem more of a distraction than anything else. Would much prefer they concentrate on the game, and let that do the talking.

I've heard Army interviewed a few times and he's very confident and speaks very well. 3AW interviewed him in a pre-match last year when he was out injured and he blew them away.

Love it. Just needs to get the "so"s out of his vocabulary, and hell be right.

Kade Simpson and Andrew Carrazzo are very good...in fact Carrots could be on radio....and one to watch out for the future is Luke Mitchell. His voice will make women swoon.

Carrots and Jamo are the best I've heard. Both are excellent. Most of the rest are fairly average.

Gibbs was good as a first year player. Completely outshone his fellow draftees. The problem is he hasn't progressed.

Given our lack of focus on promotion, you wonder if our players (and coach) have had much training on dealing with the media.
