If Judd doesnt play, it will be interesting to see who steps up in his place or maybe do all the mid fielders rally together and put in that extra 10-20%. A bit like they did in the first 3 rounds of 2010. Missing Judd, might give us an insight on which player thinks the're the one to be the next benchmark. I would like to see it be Gibbs, but not holding my breath !! |

Carlton Football Club Facebook INJURY UPDATE: Chris Judd injured his right ankle during the second quarter and returned to the game after half time and played the game out. Judd completed a recovery session at Visy Park this morning and he is expected to be available to play against Melbourne at the MCG next Friday night. |

Initially I thought he might have had a bruised foot. The way he was running, favouring it had me leaning that way. I had a similar injury playing soccer one day and my God it's debilitating, I can only imagine how bad a break would have been, I was shocked when the doctor said it was just heavily bruised. If that is the case, and his foot is bruised, he will not play this week. I couldn't walk for 5 days, couldn't run for just under a fortnight. If its an ankle he'll tape it up and be right to go. |

If it speeds up recovery and definitely if there is a chance of making it worse, we need to rest him. We can beat Melbourne for goodness sake without the great man. |

Judd's recovery session consisted of scrambled eggs on toast, bircher muesli and a latte. There's no definitive answer at the minute...decision clearer on Wednesday. 50/50. The better question is whether the club should err on the side of caution and give him a rest. |
