Just wondering if anyone can answer a couple of quick questions regarding the Carlton-Geelong match. If, as expected, it becomes a fully-ticketed match due to what will now be huge interest in this game, what does that mean for CFC Silver Members? Will we need to purchase a reserved ticket like any other person (non-members). Or do we get the opportunity to upgrade for a reserved ticket (for a price obviously)? Finally, when will this be announced? What has been the precedence for this? Monday? |

I am not sure, but playing at Etihad is the only reason I have paid for reserved seats at H&A games due to the fear of being locked out from a Carlton game at Etihad THE CLUB MUST GET TO THE MCG |

2015 is the earliest date we can move to the G (10 year deal started in 2005). |

I am sure we would have a higher membership base if at the MCG - oh well 3.5 years and counting |

I have discussed this issue for a long time, our home ground is a critical issue for our Club in the long term. Our home ground must be the MCG for the big games. I also have a vision for a big development of Princes Park. |

Getting back to the original question. I am pretty sure that the AFL has to give more than 6 days notice for a fully ticketed game. Etihad always leaves aside some general admission entry for game day so you should be able to scan your membership ticket, only dont get there too late. You can pre purchase general admission tickets for Etihad to make sure you will get in. We have upgraded to a reserved seat just to be sure as i have no doubt there will be a big crowd. I must admit i love the MCG but Etihad is good in this cold weather. |

yeh i am the same as sheldon here. i have captains club social membership ( which guarantees me GF ticket if we make it) and i have reserved seats for all games which for smaller games i dont use. it beats the hassle of having to upgrade all the time |

Agree that MCG must be for all our home games An upgrade of Princes Park for Reserves, TAC, National championships etc and our practice matches BUT NEVER again for premiership points Fond memories but must move on |

Has there been any discussion in the media about a venue swap - i can see us losing 20,000 plus at the gate by not being played at the MCG |

Why cant there be a venue swap like there used to be in the old days when games would be shifted from Princes Park to the 'G if a big crowd was forecast ?... Its insanity!... Its 1st vs 3rd FFS!.. The game would draw 70 - 75 000 at the G, so why keep it at the Dome where you ll be luck to get a crowd over 50 000..... |

Just another promise made that has gone out the window.. ![]() Wonder how a few of the boys will be doing financially if this was kept? |

If I want to buy a reserve seat (I'm a silver member) how do I do this? Can't seem to find any info on this. Help would be much appreciated! |

Go to the Ticketmaster site, if you are not already then register. It will ask for barcodes and then proceed to the next page asking for what type of seating you want. It will only charge you for the seat upgrade, mine cost $19 for level 3 front row. Alternatively go to a ticketmaster outlet with your membership card and upgrade that way. Good luck. |

Will try doing this too before it gets too crazy during the week... Thanks. Can stomach $19 for a reserved seat - was thinking something like $30... |

There's nothing coming up at all when I try to upgrade to a reserved seat. (The upgrade for a reserved seat at Etihad is a rip off but that's another matter) Does this mean I have to buy a general admission ticket - these are still being sold - or can I just get there at 5.30 when gates open and scan in then? I have a gen adm membership. |

For Carlton home games there is a section of level 4 that is for silver members. No reserved seat is required but it's first in, best dressed. |

I just had a look at the ticketmaster site, seem that maybe all reserved seats are sold. I have spoken to the AFL on other occassions about ticketing. The difference between Etihad and the MCG is that Etihad has general admission ticketing on level 3 and unless it has been called a fully ticketed game (this hasnt) then there is always walk up general admission tickets on the day. the MCG is what they call sell on demand ticketing. If you are a member you will get in providing you dont get there too late, there are about 4 bays on level 3 (bays 35-38) from memory for silver members. The reserved seating is on levels 1,2 and the front rows on level 3. |
