CHRIS Judd contacted a St Kilda player this week to "clear the air" over speculation about biting during Monday night's Carlton-St Kilda game.

The reigning Brownlow medallist telephoned David Armitage after learning the St Kilda players believed Armitage had been bitten on the arm by Judd during the often spiteful game won by Carlton by three points at Etihad Stadium.

Judd's manager Paul Connors said last night: "Yes, I can confirm that Chris telephoned David Armitage this week.

"Chris became aware that there was a suggestion that there was an incident during the game.

"Chris has no recollection of anything of this nature happening, but, because he had heard speculation, he wanted to clear the air with David.

"David said there was no issue and appreciated Chris taking the time to call.

Obviously Armitage went to big Zac for advice on biting.

Chris judd cops a lot of shit on SEN most days too.

He's gone from the player everyone liked, even if they didn't follow west coast, to the player everyone hates. Most probably because he plays for us now.
