Peter Hanlon can go on my " good Journo " list.

1. Robbo.
2. Hanlon.

He may have some 'brain snaps', and make wierd decisions now and then, but he delivered when the heat was on in the last term..

Hampson who ?

I have been saying for a while that he reminds me of Kepler Bradley.
And Kepler was born with an Aussie rules footy in the hand.

Setanta as I've always said is our insurance policy.
But because of good recruiting and development of our list our dependence on Setanta has declined over time.

Then out of the blue he gets an opportunity and we saw his value in Sydney and now against the Saints.
I'm glad he's still on our list.

I don't expect him to be on the list post 2012, but then again I didn't expect him there post 2009.
X factor. Passion. Athletic. He's a beauty.

Geez that set shot for goal on Monday was a beauty too.

I love the guy, and everything he represents.

Don't think I've ever willed someone to make it, more than I do Setanta. And I reckon the shit he cops from idiot TV commentators is incredibly disrespectful. If Hunt can get paid a million a season, then that makes Setanta worth at least 12 million a year.

If (big IF and isn't going to happen) he could get his ruckwork to a level you'd call barely acceptable, he'd be immensely valuable in this competition now. If you could trust Santy to hold his own against the opposition's 2nd ruckman, he'd be in the 22 of just about every side I reckon. That's the thing I'd love to see him improve on.

I was 100% confident he would nail that goal in the last..There arent too many on our list which i would be so confident about.

Maybe if the commentators should study the players and how they have improved. Even his so-called brain fade near the 3 qtr time siren was derided, i thought he did the right thing...The man on the mark went to sleep so he saw his opportunity to open up the angle..Just missed in its execution, but the thought process was fine.

And, no I am not a fan of Setanta, never have been, but i dont think he deserved to be ridiculed..

Anyone who shows as much passion for the Carlton Jumper is always good value.

Exactly, the signwriter would earn his money putting the name on the locker....

What he offers more so than Hampson is a contest. Plus he can mark.

As long as we have Jeffey and Eddie roaming the packs, Carlos has a place in the forward line.
He breaks packs open.
Nobody takes a contested mark on him.

If Warnoch goes down or loses form then Hampson can play first ruck. He failed up forward but is a pretty good ruckman. Wouldnt write him off.

Loving Carlos at the moment but can see him making room for Kreuzer.

We are lacking a big backman at present and Setanta has past form as a very good key defender.

Recently he seems to have been keyholed as only a forward who can fill in in the ruck.

I'm feelin' the love of people for the big galoot. Me too!

I think Carlton supporters are in a good place right now.

He seems like a nice bloke and all, but he just makes too many mistakes
for mine. At 28 it seems unlikely that he'll improve enough to stay on our
list after this year.

Hope I'm wrong.

Lloyd has never got over the day at the G that Setanta outmarked him on the wing ... sold him some candy, just waltzed around him and booted the ball straight to Fev ... good times!!!!

Warnock was down against Saints because he didn't have Hampson there to give him a chop out and a breather.

No need to pot a player if another plays well.

There might be room for Kreuzer/Hampson, Warnock, Waite and O'hAilpin in the side. The Bombers have gotten away with Hille, Ryder, Bellchambers and Hurley. Waite and O'hAilpin aren't your typical big men who aren't much good if the ball hits the deck. Waite has the mobility and athleticism to play on a flank.
