Eddie's goal in the 1st
Duigan in the last, once in particular charging a half volley down, paddling in front of himself and running it fwd
Joseph's smother
Robbo's kick to Walker for the winner
Garlett applying pressure from the left HFF, forcing them OOB in the right forward pocket

tyhe amazing pressure from the whole forward line that resulted in Eddie's goal in the second quarter. The Saints wilted under the pressure and Eddie swooped with a great snap. Just a terrific team effort

Walker's match winner. Great kick in a pressure situation.

I too liked Eddie's goal in the 2nd. Absolutely slashing goal. It was like that magic goal in the Richmond game.

Murphy's bolt from the centre, dash to 55 out and the slotted it on the run.

Has to be the last goal. The set up to the final clutch kick.

For me it was Setanta's goal towards the end.
It looked pretty simple but it stopped the StKilda momentum and gave us breathing space. Setanta can be known to run around like a headless chook but last night he settled down and just did the thing.

Unlike Simmo or Waite who both did stupid things on the 50 arc instead of going deep into attack.

I also like the way Yarran just waltzed away from the pack a couple of times and nobody knew where he was or what he was doing.

To be fair, Setant also buggered up at least one, maybe two opportunities to go back and slot it, which were just as bad as Simmo's and Waite's (and Scotty's).

Has to be Robbo in the last qtr. Won the hard ball on the hbf and gave the releasing handball, ran hard deep to the fwd line to create an option. Led up to Waite to take a mark at chf and played on with a perferct bullet pass to Walks.

I thought the end to end goal was incredible, Walker's goal under pressure incredible and Setanta's big pack mark at the end also worthy.

But for me the play that typified the match for me was in the 2nd quarter. Yarran with the kickout, kicks it to himself and runs straight up the middle, cutting a swathe through the St Kilda forward line like they didn't exist.

Robbo's mark then playing on and hitting Tex on the lead was great

But Walker's kick was a mark of a much improved player - last year with little confidence he would have more than likely missed it

special mentions to Duigans clunks in the back half and Yazz weaving through heavy traffic and hitting targets

Agreed. Hate that little shit and his 'angry ant' goal celebrations.
