This is a rare opportunity to go into and behind the scenes of arguably Australia’s most successful and traditional football club. This double header lunch will enable guests to ask questions and gain a real insight into what makes our club so great.

Lunch 1: May 26th, 12.00pm, Visy Park.

What makes the Club ‘tick’

Chaired by Carlton CEO, Greg Swann and Anthony Barham (Marketing and Fundraising Department), guests will go Inside the executive offices, marketing, advertising, membership and coteries departments and examine the ramifications and the problems that exist on a daily and annual basis. They will also explore the control of media exposure (true and untrue) and how the season never ends. This lunch will be preceded by a tour of the new Facilities at Visy Park for those interested.

Lunch 2: July 6th, 12.00pm, Visy Park.

The Team -Today, tomorrow and the future –

Chaired by Carlton President Stephen Kernahan and Justin Cordy (High Performance manager) this lunch will cover the players – past and present including recruiting, training schedules, the draft, physical and dietary requirements, and all aspects that are involved in what is required ‘behind the scenes’ in the building of a team leading to a Premiership. We will compare today’s game to yesterdays and gain an understanding of the modern game in respect to the new rules.

Cost: $400.00 per person for both lunches,

Includes meals, beer, wine and soft drink.

I've seen the planning that is going into this event and this is going to be something unique and special. Highly recommend going to this if you have the opportunity.

That sounds like a ripping opportunity; hope to hear back from someone who attends.

Do you need to me a member of Spirit of Carlton to attend?
Does anyone know how long the lunches are ? Deciding on whether need to take a day off from work or just a few hours.

No. Anyone can attend.

Begins at 12 and will wind up around 3pm if you wish to take the tour around Visy Park. The last part is optional if anyone needs to leave to get to a mid afternoon meeting.

The price is too steep but it's a good initiative nonetheless..

Wont address the issue of grassroots democracy though... :banghead:

There's nothing new about it, it's just going to be more in-depth than before. The price is just right to net a certain kind of individual who can tip (or convince others to tip) a certain amount of money into the football club.

I understand it's perceived as expensive, but I'm much more interested in stuff like this than I am B&F dinners at Crown. So what the Spirit of Carlton has actually done is provide me with another avenue of putting back into the club that I wouldn't normally do. So in addition to this and the Golf Day, plus the odd piece of merchandise, the club is doing ok out of me - but without the Spirit of Carlton coming up with new ways to engage fans - they wouldn't be seeing much.

This is an opportunity too good to pass up and will give all those who attend a better understanding before they voice their opinion on what the club is doing, and what they might need to do to get things right.

This is a great initiative, a wonderful opportunity and I think the cost is about right. You want it to be a smaller group and those who are willing to pay the price will have a lasting experience.

 on this one!

I've been told this is selling very fast, there are only 90 seats available for this event. If you are thinking about attending you will need to secure your ticket very soon.
