Should be pretty confident but it will be in completely different conditions to the Sydney game.

Do we make changes to suit a dry fast track ?

9 day break - Monday night footy.

Danger game for us. The Saints are looking to get their season back on track and we're coming off a good start to the year. Could go either way really.

Get the feeling we're either going to get towelled up, or we're going to carry on this momentum and belt them too. Almost feel like the 10 day break is a disadvantage after such a win.

Who gets the job on Riewoldt?

Without Hayes their midfield is considerably weaker....they have shown nothing so far this season and we will win this one comfortably....

Will Murphy play do we think?

Hurt his arm last night so hopefully it's nothing serious and with a long break and he can get himself right.

3AW just reported that he had his arm in a sling at the airport. :banghead: :banghead:

That's a huge advantage we take into this game.

He is their heart and soul imo.

Armfield to play on Milne.

White to run around on Reiwoldt...and he'll need a spell from that role too, and it shouldn't be Jamo chasing him up the wing...imo.
The other alternative we have for Reiwoldt is Laidler (but he's way too short and slow for him), so maybe Hendo can come back into the team, otherwise it may have to be Waite. Nevertheless we need 2 KP forwards to present in this game on a dry track.

Yarran in for Joseph.

And because this will be played indoors on a fast dry track:

Hampson to replace Setanta.

I am looking forward to Hendo gaining some more fitness and form in the Ants and coming back into the side soon...if so, he'd replace White.

We should be really fresh after a 9 day break.
We are going to tear 'em a new one Monday week with our run and carry.
We owe them...and give Goddard something to think about.

Definitely Jamo on Roo. Jamison's in superb form and deserves it, but he'll need a few breaks as well I assume.

It's the next day, and I'm still wondering if we should persist with Setanta, Joseph & White in this game. Yarran's coming back in, and we'll be looking Hampson, Henderson, McLean, Lucas & Tuohy. Problem is we're only going to see the form line of two this evening.

Could be due to a little bit of swelling, like when we have blokes on crutches with ice-packs for ankle rolls.

Jamieson on Revolting. How about Ellard on Milne? Would keep the scumbag under tighter control than a chastity belt ! If it doesn't work, Armfield.

Must keep Setanta after last night. Could also play on Revolting.

Yarran (if fit) for Joseph.

Otherwise why muck around with a winning combination unless Henderson strikes form.

Will wait and see what tonight's game against GWS brings before really analysing a preview. Yarran for Joseph should be a fait accompli.

Setanta should get another go at it, had a great game against St Kilda last year, and St Kilda really only have McEvoy and Blake as their rucks.

Wondering whether Armfield stays, given the unofficial "no two weeks as a sub" rule, and whether theres a set role for him there.

Can't see Bower being rushed back now of all times, then again, don't think White is 100% safe either. I dare say little credence being paid to performances against a GWS youth side by the match committee will save him.

Still reckon Robbo needs an extended rest ahead of the bye. He looks buggered.

Jamo is ideal for Riewoldt. In the past there were doubts about whether he'd be able to run with him, but Jamo seems to have re-invented himself as a much more attacking and mobile backman.

We should smash these pricks.

I'm worried about White. I thought he looked out of it last night and in the first half especially.

Yarran will be needed against the saints.

Should be a good game. A win would separate us from a few teams trying to get into the top 4 and would also make the saints attempt at another GF absolutely imposible!!!

Assuming no injuries-

In: Yarran
Out: AJ

If Murphy doesn't come up (arm/shoulder), I would probably go with Brock (assuming he goes well tonight) as his replacement. I know Etihad is a fast track, but the Saints are not a particularly quick side and I think there comes a point where we need to have another look at Brock (what's the point of having him on the list otherwise?). Lucas and Zach are the others that would be in the mix if Murph is out injured (or AJ might hold his place in the side?), but I'd be inclined to throw Brock in amongst the strong bodies in the St Kilda midfield and see how he goes...(but I reserve the right to change my mind if he has a poor game tonight!).

Setanta will probably keep his place this week, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Hammer come in for him. We got smashed in the ruck last night and if that happens on a dry wicket we'll be in big trouble. Warnock looks like he still needs help and, until Kreuzer comes back, Hammer is the only available player we have that is a competent ruckman at AFL level. What Hammer really needs to do is get better as a forward, but I have confidence that he eventually will. It might seem harsh, but I see Setanta, T-Bird & White as OK stop-gap types until we get the likes of Kreuzer, Hammer, Hendo & Watson up and running...

Will this game be a fully ticketed match? Where we need reserved seats for level 3? If the Saints win tonight it might happen.

In: Yarran
Out: No idea, no one deserves to be dropped after last nights game.

Setanta is way more effective than Hampson. If the ball hits the deck Setanta's 2nd efforts are above and beyond in comparison to Hammer's and he can actually kick a goal.
