Apart from 22 tonight -lucas collins hendo hammer yarran thorton watson have all played senior football in the first 6 rounds this year - 29 players used already and arguably we havent had our best side on the park yet - Not too bad having 4 and a half wins out of 6 games given the side hasnt really been settled for those 6 rounds - Kreuz bower mclean houlihan you would all think should also play senior footy some time this season Hasnt been this competitive for spots for years -a good problem to have - have now some ability in covering injuries to key players - augurs well for the future - Davies tuohy levi and kerr would also have some claims for a spot A top 4 spot is very much up for grabs I wonder whether this list will take us there GO BLUES |

yeh 1st time in years i c an watch a game and then wonder how so and so will get back in if at all, the way we are going i think these would be the 3 changes i wanna see. i think the ins are better. not many will argue on that krooze in for setanta henderson in for white yarran in for joseph i can see ellard, joseph and armfield coming in and out at times for perhaps mclean, lucas and a new player, at this stage bower and thornton are backups if laidler or duigan have a bad trott. the next 6 weeks i see a min of 2 changes per week , rotating players and seeing whose really up to it, we have the depth now and can afford to experiment a bit , 2nd half of season if no injuries we'll have a settled squad of perhaps 25 who will get most of the games, and that my friends is why we are no longer a team in bottom half of 8 hoping maybe for top 4, we are now a top 4 team hoping to play in a GF and i strongly believe we have the players to do so |

Am loving the recruitment of curnow, laidler and duigan this year. Curnow is a ripper and has to be favourite for the michael barlow medal. We are looking seriously more organised this year too |

Agreed more depth and better organised. But injuries to key talls hurt. At this stage I'd say we were capable of finishing top 4. If we can get Kreuzer Henderson and Watson or Bower in and playing to the level required we might have the structure to challenge the best when it matters. We'd be very lucky for that to happen from where we are now, this year at least. |

Brock will make us better - we haven't seen the best of him in navy blue at all. The MC are making the right moves - getting his fitness up in the Ants where by all accounts he has been dominating. Expect to see him this week or against the cats. IF he stays fit I believe that he will be worth all that we gave up for him |

I see it as the potential for having heaps of depth. The key is players such as Gibbs, Murphy, Kruezer etc developing into real elite players and down to guys like Lucas, Watson, Touhy, McCarthy, Mitchell becoming consistent regular senior players. All in all (apart from Judd) each player needs to improve to the next level. Then we will have real depth! |
