Bryce Gibbs.

Great player. Beautiful disposal, terrific decision maker, a true footballer.

The way we use him at the moment is counter productive. Opposition clubs wouldn't mind sacrificing a ball winner of their own deep forward because it keeps Gibbs away from our own front half. You see time and time again opposition clubs just take him deep forward (our backline) and as such out of the play, or at least away from where he can be most damaging (hands on the ball kicking into 50).

I would love to see him played at half forward. Make the opposition have to designate their own negating match up. Do they put a proper defender on him? Do they sacrifice their ball winner? Either way we hopefully reap the rewards, whether it be through Gibbs directly, or Walker, Garlett et al who may move down the pecking order.

I just believe he is a far more valuable commodity forward of centre and this would be a way to make the opposition accountable for him, as well as lift his own workrate.

Thoughts?
