Must play Thornton.

Out: Hammer, White & Joseph/Gibbs/Betts or Carrots

In: Setants, Watson & Army

Ideally setants would get another game or two in the ants but hammer is a liability and Setants has one thing match fitness cant alter and thats endeavor. Plays with heart. Will try and hit every pack in the fwd line and compete in the ruck. Obviously Warnock will need to ruck for 70% or so.

One of Gibbs, Carrots, Betts or Joseph to make way for the inform Army is a must.

Went in too small in the backline this week and got away with it, cant afford to do it again. Watson in for White.

After the last two weeks this week will go either one of two ways

We will either thump them or be thumped

we are at the point where we are either going to take the next step forward or go 10 steps backwards

defining game this one

Sydney it's funny you should say that, I was thinking the same thing last night.
I just get the feeling something is going to click shortly and it's going to be awesome to watch.
There is no doubt in my mind if we get on a roll on and "kick straight" (this is what is holding us back) ... confidence suddenly becomes a positive throughout and we open the flood gates. I've just got a feeling we are close to doing this shortly!

Out: Gibbs, Betts, Hammer
In: Army, Brock, Thornton

Thornton and White can swing b/w f and b
Thornton can also relieve 206 in the ruck
Winning the tap out is only half the story. It's who wins the ball afterwards that' critical
Army replaces Betts
Brock supports Ellard and Murphy so that they can have turns at being outside mids

One of the good things to have come out of our first 5 games has been our stable list - by this I mean we have not been depleted by injuries. So we can play a stable team
with the odd exception each week. I take umbridge to people suggesting we drop 25% of the run on side. One of the hallmarks of grand final winning teams is there
stability, which breeds consistency. I am touching a very nice bit of wood and hoping our good fortune continues.

Goal kicking cost us the nice feeling of flogging the crows. So standing back this morning I would say the run on team last night did the job. Our kicking just let us down badly. I am sure this week we will be spot on. Any news on Yaz? He was probably injured - WE NEED HIM.

So who might take his spot? I would give it to Armfield? That is about all I would change. Hampson is clearly out of touch but in his defence he did dislocate his finger in warm up so marking the ball was going to be tough. He is not the most reliable mark at the best of times. We will need him this week to give Warnock a rest because Mummy will give him all he can handle. Persist with Hammer till Kruz gets fit. Then he can be a spare in the Magoos.

There is some word that Thornton might be suspended. There was some sort of incident in the Ants game. Can anyone elaborate on this?

Betts did his job last night. Great pressure in the forward line. Kicked a goal. He is a small forward and is not expected to kick a bag each week. 7 Goals for the year. About right after 5 games. If he keeps that strike rate up he will kick about 30 this year. What he is supposed to kick 60? He gets more attention now which must surely free up Jeffy.

I can't wait to watch Thornton and Setanta get raped in the ruck by Mumford and co. Might call the police now..

Ohalipin in

Would have to be one of the most out of touch players at the club at present.

Have a look at his game yesterday

Structure will be the key this week at the SCG. Don't need two ruck man and in and under players will be important. Rotations through midfield are vital.

Rattan needs to make some tough decisions, hopefully.

In: Thornton, McLean, Armfield, Lucas
Out: Betts, Hampson, White, Yarran (inj)

B: Armfield Jamison Duigan
HB: Scotland Laidler Lucas Gibbs
C: Simpson McLean Robinson Warnock Judd Murphy
HF: Walker Thornton Ellard
F: Garlett Waite
Int: Curnow AJ Carrazzo (Russell)

Betts should of been dropped weeks ago and lack of room at SCG wil not help.
Ball use and ability to kick over floods a key
If McLean is ever going to play this is the time
Mobile marking fwd line with Thornton to relieve in ruck.
McLean, Curnow, Ellard, Robinson feeding Judd, Murphy, Lucas, Simpson, Armfield, Gibbs, Carrazzo, Russell, AJ, Garlett, Scotland is as good a midfield rotation as we can put on field!

Mr Ratten over to you!

We struggle against these guys because they don't beat themselves.

On the basis (hope!) that Yarran is fine, only the one change;

In: Armfield

Out: Betts

I don't think Betts did enough last night to stay in. Armfield sounds like he's got great form in the Bullants, and at some point that should be rewarded.

I would like to see Watson back in, but White has done a job the last couple of weeks. At the SCG, Watson's kicking could be a real weapon to clear zones.
