Yarran wriggling and ducking through three tackles to get the hands off to waite for the goal in the second (?). Silk. His running goal was Duthie as well. |

Not as spectacular as Simmo's and Yarran's bouncing goals, but I reckon the play of the day was Walker, marking strongly at HFF in the last about 60-65 out, ignoring several leads, including Warnock's to the pocket, and then putting a perfect kick into where only Warnock could mark it, about 15-20m pretty much in front, for an easy goal. It was perfect play. |

Walker did take his sweet time spotting Warnock though; Robbie was too close to the boundary and Andy probably missed him against the crowd. No one in an Essendon* jumper seemed to notice him either. |

I thought Judd lifting in the 2nd quarter and his last 5 minutes of the match were pretty important, especially his beating two Bombers players and dishing off to Simmo, while being tackled and Simmo doing the bouncy bouncy goal stuff. I was interested to see who wanted the ball in the last 5 minutes it was Judd, Waite, Laidler, Simmo and Scotland with the calm nerves. I can remember Freo for years would be in danger of losing the game and all of a sudden nobody wanted the ball because they didn't want to stuff up. They would invariably lose. |

If the roles had been reversed there would have been cardiac arrests all around where I was sitting.

I'm positive he saw his initial lead to the pocket, but waited so he could put it to a much better position. Haven't seen the replay, but I reckon he kicked it before 206 started his second lead. |

Simmo's four bounces and goal on the run was specialllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll It was also pleasing to see Carrotts do a one percenter and shepherd off Jetta - need him to do more of this in future |
