Could we have Ellard, Joseph and Arma in the same team, I know Arma was the only one to play last week? I thought Ellard is in front of Joseph these days, the MC may just let Juddgo head to head with Ablett. They may try to tag Judd but if he runs with Swallow or Ablett that will free up one of our mids???

It is Die-Gun even though I keep bloody saying Doogan myself :banghead:

I remember reading articles that said Doo-gan, but there's the a CFC one that says 'Dye-gan'. 'Dye-gan' makes more sense to me anyway.

I could swear I heard "DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGG" when he got the ball the other night. Certainly won't help in the eyes of people who think our supporters are stupid :yikes:

Guys I just don't see much in Doogs yet. Great kick, but turns in a circle like the titanic. Not a very good tackler or spoiler. Early days yet I suppose...

The issue would be with Carrots/AJ/Ellard/Curnow.

Army is a different prospect, and definitely has a spot in the team.

I must agree. But it's all about the narrative and the story behind the mature age recruit being plucked from obscurity, who happens to be intelligent with a Master of Psychology degree and was "literally boarding a plane" to help children a third world country. And the fact that he plays in the backline and is supposedly "Andrew Mckay with hair". Hence the similarities for non-thinking journalists abound.

I tell you, contemporary media has a a lot to answer for.

If he was a 20 year old plucked from Braybrook, who was an apprentice sparky with the same skills, nothing would be said.

It all depends if you were looking for a world-beater who can play on both talls and smalls or simply a reliable HBF/pocket who can do his bit, on the latter score, I reckon Duigan will do alright.

I really liked what i saw in the Adelaide practise match, but not so much the other night.

Still, early days, good luck to him!

Swanny said its definitely' Dyegun' on SEN the other day..and no emphasis on either syllable..just a fast, smooth, Dyegun.
Hopefully the Dooogans will pick up the correct way listening to commentators.(did I just say that? )

In all seriousness I think he wil play most games this season, if not all... I like the kid, he runs in straight lines kicks the ball beautifully and leads by example.

As a trained psychologist, there is a lot he can say to get under the opposition skin I would think.

Any suggestions, what he would say to Swan to put him off his game?

meh, as if Saint James would need to board a plane to get to Africa? He could fly there himself, using his penis for propulsion, or simply walk on water..

Can't say I was all that impressed with Duigan against Richmond.
Some dropped marks, missed tackles and floating kicks......still it was his first game and he can only get better.

Wrong story. James Hird was "building a plane" to evacuate the entire world population of underprivileged children......and that was just in his lunch break.

We've recruited James Hird! When did that happen? :sly:
