Speaking of lunch, hear about the chick who bit off the testicles of her partner .. ouch.

Maybe Jeanne will threaten the same if the Blue Print fine print falls to pieces.

I don't like to be negative, but what (aside from money and a love for Fev) does Jeanne actually bring to the table?

I know she loves the club and is a fantastic supporter, but I worry that this is a token appointment to address cash-flow issues. That is not the sign of a well run business.

If I'm wrong, so be it. The question has to be asked.

Jeanne Pratt has been an important member of the Visy Board for many years. She has also been a board member and chair for a number of arts councils and charities.

She wont be interested in bringing money to the table.....she'll be interested in the blues making money.

She brings business nous, governance nous, fundraising experience and the widest possible network of relationships. She is a person of significant influence.

99% sure it would be a formality however let the members vote for the board.
The club belongs to the members, The Pratt family have done plenty for the club beyond doubt, however we still have a crippling debt and not won a flag since 1995, and Jeannie Pratt or Ruffy Geminder should be judged on what they bring going forward.
There are people with more footy nouse on here, so they must be financial appointments, and should have to explain like all other board members what they intent to do to justify the position going forward: unless you can just buy a ticket on the board table, if so fine then explain that to the members... and again let then vote.
The Elliott dictatorship lessons must be learnt.

In principle yes, in reality no.

How many members actually care about these type of announcements enough to challenge the status quo? We are all talk and no action. Without action to words we are simply cows being milked till we're dry. Supporters = Money, we no longer make the board and management of the club accountable.

That's my perception anyway.
