The Bullants first match of the year is on 10th April at Visy Park against Bendigo (corresponds with Round 3 in the AFL).
I suspect this will be Kreuzers first competitive hitout and all going well he will commence playing seniors in Round 5.

When we asked him Saturday at the praccy match how the knee was going he said slowly- lets hope they dont rush it
Opportunity for Hammer to really step up early if both Hendo and kreuz are out

Yep - if Hammer and Warnock stay fit there's absolutely no reason for him to be rushed in the slightest.

Being realistic, it seems to be uncommon for players recovering from a reco to hit their stride the first season back. I have absolutely no medical background at all, but I'd guess being a bigger bloke he may take longer than the average.

If he can play some decent footy towards the back end of 2011 I think that will be a good return.

All three are talls yet we're covered for depth. This is the new Carlton.
No mention of Austin so his current injury can't be too bad

I'm thinking the same at the moment. Has provided well for us before and will in so many games yet to come in the future with luck.

At least Rhys is down from 10-12 weeeeks. Luke the Duke is in a holding pattern on 10–12 weeeeks.

Rhys is working very hard and if determination has any say in matters, he'll be back.
The CFC aren't giving up on him just yet.

Feel sorry for Bell now as 10 weeks with a back injury doesn't sound great.

Read the first post half asleep this morning and just about :hitcomputer:

I know we have a poor track record with reporting injuries, but that is ridiculous.

From a poster on BF

Quote:
Just had a quick chat with one of the club's doctors (know him through a family friend). A few points of interest:

- Jamo is progressing very well. Could have played this week if it were the regular season, but the club is being extra cautious with him this year. Definitely will play round 1.

- Waite pulled up very well. Club will likely give him more game time this week and isexcited about having him back out on the park. Round 1 starter.

- Robo's back scare was just a scare. He's fine, just taking it easy as he's a bit sore. Will play round 1.

- Judd was rusty as all hell yesterday, but there is no lingering issue with his shoulder.

- Laidler is tracking well. The dislocation was very clean, no ligament damage. 6 week prognosis is worst case scenario. Will be in full training in a few weeks.

- McLean is in awesome shape. Club really rates his work this pre-season. I got the vibe he's very much in the mix for round 1.

- Club is disappointed that the kids didn't stand up yesterday. No doom and gloom feelings however. Maybe just expect less debuts than the last few years.

Forgot to ask about Warnock though! But it seems from other reports he is the only senior player who will 100% miss round 1.

I wonder who at Carlton is leaking this information.

From 8th Feb to 8th March on the C.F.C. injury report:

O’Keeffe progressed from 7–8 weeks to 9 weeks

Mitchell from 10–12 weeks to 9 weeks

Bell from 9 weeks to 6 weeks

Warnock from 3 weeks to 1–2 weeks

White from no mention, to 2 weeks

Bray from no mention, to 2 weeks

Mc Innes from no mention, to 2 weeks

Thanks for your patience

To be fair none of White, Bray or McInnes were injured at that point, so no cover-up there. O'Keeffe has been mentioned as having had a set back, and everyone else is about right.

People just talk, Roy.
Using the mutiplying effect, there'd be literally hundreds that would be privvy to "insider" information, if they did indeed care to inquire.

Injuries though are a very different beast as the timeline given can rarely be a definitive one.
Last week, I heard that Jamison may play against North but will not play round 1. Things change, or may be forced to change.

No one. The information he gave is already known...it's already out there in SEN land and small and big paper. This bloke has just collated it together. Where the info isn't solid is Robinson. Robbo isn't just sore - he's had a hamstring problem for close to a month.
