And yet a lot of these guys will play 100 games for other club as well, probably enjoy their football and have some success thus making it difficult to sway the off spring to join us. Saying that, hopefully by the time they're eligible the wheel has turned and they want to join a successful club.

Hendo and Eddie will probably make it, Yarran will struggle based on his injury history, while Waite is surely no chance to play more than 4 seasons with North.

We'd probably net Eddie & Waite's kids no matter what.

If Eddie and his kids are still living in Adelaide ( I assume they are ?) , I would have thought Adelaide would net them . Same reason we should net Judds kids over WestCoast ?

We gave Eddie a start when the whole league thought he was too small; turned him into a leader, at least when he was on the park. I hope he hasn't forgotten all of that...

That's been said so many times now by so many players I'm not sure I really buy it as a deciding factor.

He got an extra $75k a year to move closer to home (effectively a chunk more once you factor in cost of living) and go to a better performing team; we didn't match.

Eddie wanted to stay as did his partner. Coin was more at Adelaide. MM and board telling him
a) small forwards are dime a dozen
b) this was the last contract and offer

Partner convinced him to go for extra coin, and possibility of more.

Even Adelaide were surprised he left and we didn't try harder

Waite ... career best form ... absolutely killing them an Norf.
Garlett ... 40 goals last year for Melbourne.
Laidler ... holding down a position in arguable the best team in the comp.
Robinson ... B&F at Brisbane 2015.

Betts will play 100 for Adelaide ... the way Waite is travelling he might play another 3 or 4 years.
We won't get any father sons out of this lot.

Why not get rid of all our talented players ... that's the way to operate .... and as a bonus we lose out an any possible father sons ... Brilliant.
