For all the games we might yet lose, injuries we might suffer and general let downs - it could have been worse. We could be Brisbane.

I loved Fev but thank heavens he's not here now :yikes:

Can't wait to see a fit Henderson at it again - imagine what the Lions supporters must be thinking now!

Amen. Has Fev single–handedly set Brisbane back 10 years?

I pray twice a day and give my thanks to Special-K. He is my favourite and will be forever. He will be our saviour, and will be the best thing since the invention of the tooth pick, and sliced bread for our club. I also give thanks that our supporters have all their teeth, and have an IQ above that of their shoe sizes. At least I hope so, or the fact that we have supporters with the biggest feet.

If Henderson goes on and becomes a quality CHF or alike then yes.

It's not only Fev (Voss actually) - have a look at Xavier Clarke today! The place is jinxed!

Still thank goodness for Voss - the new Sheedy!

Can't wait for round 1.

And Voss didn't want to coach us

I am soooo thankful for The great man Pratt. There would be no Judd if it were not for him.

Impeccable timing from the club regarding the Fev trade. :)

Seriously thought we had missed the boat on that one. Still can't believe we got what we did for such damaged goods.

Love Fev, but the poor guy is in free-fall.... and I really don't think the Lions have his best interests at heart.
If they can shaft him out of his contract they will.

And as for Voss almost being our coach..... that's the second bullet we have dodged boys.

(still like to know who at the club was pushing hard to recruit Voss as coach)

Yeah I doubt it was the "old players club" pushing for Voss as coach. Maybe the "old players club" isn't doing so bad after all.
I love Fev as much as the next guy but can we say he has the Lions' best interests at heart? Or his kids best interests? He could focus on being a father they can be proud of. It's not too late for redemption.
Anyway seriously it might just be in his interests that he realises he won't be able to just waltz back into the side when he feels ready.

It would be funny if it was Swanny.
Yes, it's a good question. I have to say I was a big Voss fan before the video of him king hitting that bloke came out.

To me he talked the sort of "no bullshit" talk I thought we needed, particularly when we had numpties like Fev basically doing what they liked. I also thought our coaching staff (not Ratts) was a bunch of good time boys just doing what they wanted. That part turned out to be accurate.

But Voss has shown himself to be an arrogant egomaniac and I am now very happy the quiet confidence and resolve that appears to be developing with our new assistants and recruits that we are far and away the winners.

Hat's off to Swanny.

I've never been a fan of Voss in terms of coaching (absolute great player and an all time fav of mine). I just think he isn't genuine when he speaks and tries too hard to talk clever whenever he speaks pubicly. And this was quite obvious during the circus when he was touted as the best coaching candidate in 2007

SO glad he didn't land @ PP. Phew! :thanks:

Voss...ego...head strong...meglamaic..overconfident...Fev like...thank god he landed at Lionsville...and so say all the Eagles too.

The signs are such that the 17th Flag is getting closer by the day.

Yes the Kreuuuuuz missile is known as Special-K, (K for Kreuzer) or Humphrey around the club because he doesn't say much I think.

2001? Hope not. Means they'll now win 3 in a row.

Cheers, who decides on these nicknames anyway? O'hailpin seems to have a new one every year. Carlos, Set top, Nutboots, take your pick. Anyway, not long to go now.
