Are the Carlton Footy Club looking at doing anything special for the Flood relief? Today l hear of Tim Cahill offering the following: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Tim-Cahill-Evert ... 3f06747e2b Why don't Carlton get on the front foot for the relief and also as a good promotional opportunity for the club to come out and offer something to the fans and funds for the relief. I think if the club offered a chance to sit in the coaches box to a fan, meeting all the players, getting a signed ball from all players and guernsey, there would be quite a few people out there that would pay thousands for that opportunity. Just a thought for the people in the club to think about it. Good for marketing the club and relief. |

Coutts: Hammer's a Queenslander too! OMG we're awesome! High-five! |

Are any other non-QLD clubs doing anything? I assume the Lions are getting involved somehow. |

With the AFLPA confirming this morning [ http://bit.ly/gg2Epf ] that the players had resolved to give $150,000 to those affected by the floods...does this mean that on average, each player is donating around $220 to the flood relief appeal? ![]() |

The CFC also gave $20,000, as announced by Hammer. And he was reading cue cards, not an auto-cue. Clearly doesn't hang out with Coutts enough, as he had to use the cue cards... and his delivery wasn't off-beat enough |

Actually spotted Daniel rich and Daniel Merrett & others up to their knees in muck helping out a shopkeeper in Brisvegas on the news. They walked by the reporter who didn't recognise them and seemed to be just getting on with it. RESPECK |

More an indictment on the general ineptitude of our comms dept most of the time. In fact, I wouldn't be half surprised if Hammer was the one who went to THEM with the idea. |

The club should help out the Victorian flood victims, they seem to be the ones who need the publicity. |

Maybe they could donate some of the $196.50 profit they make on a $200 club parka. |

Andrew Walker said on his twitter that he was going to Echuca to help with sandbagging. I think it would be nice if the whole club went with him to help out as a way of support. |
