I think everyone is waiting for Budzy to say something.

Personally I'm grateful for his service. At the very least he would have provided a lot of help regarding contract drafting and compliance at all levels of the CFC; the kind of stuff that would have cost the club a pretty penny or ten.

Thankyou Simon for all the years of service.
A great Carlton man who is always up for a conversation.
i first met Simon 3 or 4 years ago at the AGM when the club was at its lowest ebb. I will never forget when he spoke at the AGM , told the audience that he would do his share to help the club including if need be to eat his fair share of sausage rolls.
i was shocked as things were so serious financially at the time. i dont believe too many people laughed.
how things ave changed since then.
:thanks:

Looks like the clash jumper debacle was the tipping point.

In all seriousness however, thanks for your service Simon.

Did a lot of great work behind the scenes for the club. Need more like him.

Thank You Simon. Brilliant stuff.

I don't know anything about him but what I have just read in this thread. By the sounds of things he stuck around when sleeves needed to be rolled up and got his hands dirty, and only now does he feel comfortable in leaving knowing that the club is in a great position to stand on it's own.

Thank you.
