A full forward who can't kick, that's a novel idea

Walker has played well in several positions and has played badly in the same positions, at different times.

I disagree that it is bad to play him more in the midfield. He is fast, strong, clean and has good evasive skills. He can get the ball and dish off quickly or break the lines and kick into the forward line.
He is a much better kick than he is given credit for. His bad kicks often come at the end of a long, exciting run and he loses his cool. I've seen him land 60m passes onto the chest of running players several times. And, even if his kicking is not great, if we set up our forward line well, with Waite, Henderson & Kreuzer and the 3 amigos at their feet, we will be able to make something of it.

His weakness is his tackling and decision making. And, his particular tackling weakness is more apparent when trying to stop a player at full steam. In the midfield, most of the tackling he will need is closer in. He will obviously be focusing on it during the off-season as well. He will be able to play lock down roles on the likes of Goodes or he could become more attacking and let other teams worry more about him.

His speed and endurance are wasted in the back- or forward lines (although he could rest in/rotate through the forward line and cause headaches there in bursts).

This is a guy who needs to run free. Not have to think too much. Just let him play. Some player need more rules. Walker needs more freedom.

Ratten still don’t get it, Walker’s spot is purely full forward or maybe half forward flank because of his bad kicking and I’m sure he will produce his best in these two positions and not centre as he is suggesting, what’s your thought about it hat?
