Exactly why he shouldn’t be coaching the VFL side.

SOMEONE needs to focus on the outcome. Otherwise, you’re coaching a bunch of players that won’t know they’re getting pummelled until three goals turns into seven.

It’s stripping the boys of their drive & determination.

I logged on to quote same thing from same article.

Following the acknowledgement of Power's ability from younger players in the last few weeks, I thought this quote would explain the objectives of development.

Damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

When we didnt have our own VFL team, the main complaint from posters was players were played in positions to win games, and not developing for positions we drafted them to play. Now we have our own VFL team where we can develop players exactly how we want, without worrying about the outcome. Nothing wrong with that.

You do know we have a plethora of players under 21yo. Too many to be competitive against more mature teams. The playing list in the VFL and isn't going to win many games against stand alone teams, let alone the others playing our model. Development is obviously the main objective.

Pointless criticising Power, if you don't know what his directive is.

The desire outcome seems obvious. It is to develop players to play a role in the AFL team, if, and when they are good enough, play. Each week they add another layer with purpose to develop positional traits.

Power is the messenger. I appreciate his honest feedback to the fans.

I would prefer we didn't have any injuries and players and Doc, Newman, McGovern, Fogarty, Williams, Pittonet, are on hand in the VFL giving the players on field instructions to expedite their development.

Like I said earlier this year Cru, we have a great best 23, and good players in the VFL to support the development of young players, but injury is not our friend and we don't bat deep. Surely you can see that now. That is not Power's issue. That is Austin's issue.

Go to a VFL match and tune into Power at the huddle . I think he is excellent .

Agree guys. We have a young list playing VFL now and we need to understand most are growing and developing.
Can’t have it all. We traded/delisted depth players for picks everyone wanted, so understanding the effect of your changes helps.

Sam Edmund says we’re looking to bring Hickmott home.

Also said we’ve had chats with Hayden Skipworth, but I think he’s got a contract that can only be broken with a promotion.

Boak, Breust... Callan Ward...

I'd also be happy to have Hinkley around the club.

Get rid of both coaches who are responsible for either end

Man, I saw him dominate an AFL Canberra GF playing top up for Swans as a 16 year old and wanted us to draft him then.

Id see of Boak wanted to play another year

He didnt look like he was ready to call it quits and would be awesome to have around the club for a year as as onfield coach

I want whoever can get us our forward line to function effectively please.

I want to see our players working together, creating space for each other and knowing when to sacrifice their own play in order to benefit their teammate.

I don't want to see *all* of our forwards completing for the same ball every @#$%&! time we go inside 50.

A midfield coach who actually knows the name of the forwards coach wouldnt be a bad thing either. Its like they have never met!!
