Gerard Healy and Dwayne Russel interview Ratts, here's some brief paraphrasing of what was said:

Healy: Has Carlton improved from last year given we have lost Fev?
Ratts: There has been improvement across the board. Noted again that no one predicted the blues to make the 8 this year and that they have only been out of the 8 one round out of 22 this year.
ANZ stadium - only Carrots and Judd have played there in the past, so fairly unfamiliar to the rest of the team. The team will train there on Saturday.
Carrots - will give him every opportunity to overcome his injury. It does sound like hes a no go, which I don't think is a huge loss.
Garlett - his performance this season has taken enormous steps this year and is challenging Betts as the number 1 small forward.

There was a little more but didn't catch it all.

Eddie, Yarran and Jeff have all combined for 98 goals this year.

I think we've covered the loss of Fev and then some.

The Carrots that has the abilty to take a really good player and limit his effectiveness whilst offering some value the other way, ie a couple of goals, is a loss. The carrots that gets way too far ahead of himself and whose ambitions far outweigh his ability and skill level and who wants to do a U-turn every fkn time he has the ball is not a huge loss and will not be missed. The problem is you never know which one is going to take the field so if he doesn't come up we miss out on his positives and lose his negatives. In short, I don't know if I am happy or sad whether he plays or doesn't play

Agreed. I never know whether I love Carrots in the team, or whether he is one of the players I want pushed out of the squad.

That is a fantastic performance. And to think that Yarran has still got a heap of improvement in him.
