This little thread is not for the Negative Nellies. This is a thread for the dreamers, and believers. 1/ We have a large contingent of fabulous supporters going to the game 2/ We have a team that really believes they can achieve anything when they play well. 3/ it's the finals. It's a fresh start, and anything can happen. Go Blues...I really believe you can win if you have the will to. |

Like your style... For me, I really feel they're not content to have just got there this year, that they know the've got some good form coming into it, that the Swans are no longer formidable to us, that they remember the pain of losing last year's QF and will want to make amends, that they are ready to make a small but significant statement to the rest of the football world and be noticed as an emerging side. Couldn't agree more Bluegirl. I hope our head is right for Sunday and as much as I want a win and would LOVE a win, all I ask is that the boys play good football. Tough, hungry football. |

Because we came into the 1999 finals with little hope after finishing 6th, then somehow managed to knock off Essendon* (equivelant to Collingwood this year) by 1 point after Lions smashed us by 14 goals in the first week of the finals. Surely a similar miracle can happen for us this year too

Sydney isn't that good when they're away from the SCG. Garlett to kick 4, and that Gartlett bloke should also chip in with 2 or 3. If McLean plays, he'll shake Kirk's hand which will throw their captain completely. |

We can win if we play hard, committed football. If we run and spread and force turnovers. If we maybe outpoint them with matchups instead of consistently being forced to react to whatever Roos and co conjure up. If we make the most of our opportunities in front of goal and lead at quarter time. I think Sauce in for Hampson is a must. Thornton in for Davies. Cant afford to carry any project players into finals. McLean for Carrazzo primarily because I reckon Brock is a proud person and would be itching to prove a few doubters wrong. |

Garlett and Waite will kick 5 each. Warnock will smash em in the ruck. Judd will have a captains game with 39 possessions. We will get 10 free kicks in front of goal.
