No change. Reward this effort. Ratten put the acid on them and they responded. Give Davies another game too. |

Be consistent in your efforts boys..Hard at every contest.. that's all you need. Look out if you think a one off effort against the Bombers is satisfactory for you. ![]() |

I'd say this is even more important than last nigts game. If we can't come out and really play again, the very next week, then how can we expect anything at all from this group realisticly. We must put the tigers away convincingly. |

This is just as big an acid test on the playing group. Their efforts last night have to become the standard. |

The only change I'd consider at this stage is to replace Davies. Solid prospect but doesn't look quite ready yet. |

Hate to rain on the parade but why do some posters believe after an emphatic win we shouldn't drop players. Still on a high based on our last quarter performance. We beat a very ordinary team that has had the wood on us. I thought Davies was woeful in his debut. Did not adjust to the tempo of the game and made his opponent look like a star. Well his opponent should have kicked 6 on the night. If we need another key backman we have better options. Does not look confident in the air. We need to give him more development time Aaron Joseph was very ordinary on the night. Just not smart enough a plyer with the ball in hand. Very lucky to have survived the chop for the most part of the season. I thought Hadley was given a bath by Watson in the first quarter. Cant see why posters have him in their best. Played a great last quarter when we had the momentum but his lacks agility or pace. Saw the Dons players blocking for Watson. Wasn't he supposed to be the buffer for Judd. I felt he got shown up by a rookie in Ellard. Hopefully the likes of Houla, Walker and Austin have good games and Yarran recovers to get back into the team. |

The key is the ruck work - first hand to the ball at stoppages and the inside grunt from Judd, Ellard, Hadley and possibly Robinson. If this level of effort can be repeated and results go in our favour, then finishing in the 8 with momentum for the finals will happen. Walker running from half back, Yarran running through the forward 50 are 2 changes that would improve the team. If dropping players who do not perform works for football clubs to impose discipline then it also needs to be applied to umpires who do not apply rules consistently and get them seriously wrong. |

We complain about our team's inconsistency, but we as supporters are too inconsistent. Last week we had to sack Ratten and all our players were soft, this week all is wonderful and it's Ratten for PM. ![]() We had a good win last night, but let's not get carried away. We have a habit of following up a good win with a bad performance. After singing the song last night, I hope Ratten took the players away from all the back-slappers, and told the players that the win will mean nothing if we don't back it up next week against Richmond... |

I agree with others that this week is just as if not more important than the bummers game. We need to consolidate and a loss to the tiges could destroy all the emotion and self belief generated during the week. I say no changes injuries aside. I hate when players are given one game to prove themselves especially when they're young kids. |

I'd like to see Houla come in...and probably in exchange for Davies. ![]() |

Solid prospect but doesn't look quite ready yet. i'd keep him in the team for this week just because we're playing a lesser side and he needs all the experience he can get. If he doesnt perform next week i would have no problem dropping him for the geelong game. He showed some good signs but made some mistakes that will only be fixed by experience. |

The truth about last night is that it will mean nothing if we can't beat the Tigers. We can't just expect things to happen for us like they did last night, we need to apply the same pressure and enthusiasm to have a chance. |

Is it ok for me to want to drop Carrazzo? I think he's last few weeks have been awful. Turnovers especially. |

why would u want to drop him?? yes he does butcher the ball a bit but he is crucial for the carlton setup. who would take the main tagging role?? i think no-one understands his role 4 the club. |

Took out a big scalp last night in Stanton and kicked two for his troubles. Having said that we will never be a serious finals contender with Carrazzo in our starting line up. We need to develop others to replace him and rather quickly in my opinion. |

I thought Davies got to the right spots, and provided a good contest. Some poster suggested his opponent had 6 shots on goal, which is not correct. That opponent was supposedly Hellingham?. But he had Jamison on him for 3 of his shots, and Bower too. Davies' only issue was that he didn't adapt to the speed of the game and was run down twice in the first quarter. Well what do you expect on your first experience. It happens to players who have had previous AFL experience, so give Davies a break. I guess those pressing for a spot against the Tiggers would be the emergencies Austin, Setanta & Anderson. Also in contention would have to be Houlihan, Yarran and in my books, even Walker (who knows what the issue is there). A lot depends on the form, commitment and intensity the abovementioned bring to their game in the Ants tomorrow. I'm expecting yesterday's team effort against the Bumbers to provide a lift for all listed players. Given we are effectively playing for a finals berth against the Tiggers, I am expecting every player to lift their claim for a spot in our finals campaign. Carrots' form hasn't been that good, but on last night's performance, I reckon he's safe. I just wish his disposal by foot would improve to AFL standard, or that someone else earns his spot. Noone I can think of is pressing for Carrots' spot. Betts was also a bit quiet last night and his set shots at goal are a real pain in the arse to watch. He too needs to improve his kicking at goal by getting his routine sorted; it's a huge waekness of his in 2010 despite leading our goal kicking. Hammer also has the yips infront of goal, but I do expect him to keep improving. His contesting last night was superb. Jamison is another who is still out of form, but at least last night he showed some improvement in intensity. He still plays too loose for a backman let alone a FB. I can't see him being replaced by any of Thornton, Austin or Setanta. Is he going to be able to hold down Reiwoldt? If he is, he'll have to improve his form in the next 6 days. Other than Davies, I can't see anyone's spot in the team being under threat. IMO, no need for change.......................................................but wouldn't mind seeing Yarran, Walker or Houlihan in the team. |
