The rest of the team were above average as well.

Cons:

Umpiring - that was the most disgracefully over-umpired game I have ever seen:

-Morefrees dive in the 1st 1/4
-Robbo's free for "too high" on Hille, when robbo ran into his arm
-Hille's "headbut" - high tackle
-Bower's holding the ball when he clearly got a handball, which also resulted in a 50m penalty against Army for kicking the ball away
-Waite's goal, that wasn't a goal
-Neagle's non-goal, which was a goal

-Judd getting a free for holding at the stoppage in the 3rd which wasn't there
-Many "chopping the arms" free kicks which weren't there
-Many "push in the back" frees which wern't there
-Nearly every 50m penalty that was paid
-Nearly every free kick that was paid

Seriously, the AFL need to simplify the rules so that there is less reason for an umpire to pay a free kick. Everytime I hear the whistle I cringe - not because I think it will go against us, but because I know I won't agree with the decision 75% of the time.

Just put the whistles away and let them play football FFS!!

Waites was a goal but wasnt paid.

- Lots !
- AJ, Waite responded really well
- Hadley and Ellard were great
- 206 keeps plugging away
- Murphy and Gibbs will take a lot from being played into form, will take pressure off.
- Forward line looked (semi) functional with no Yarran and no Setanta

CON
- The umpires - how the flower do they get away with that? how do they sleep at night???? Is David Evans paying them on the sly??? How are they so flowering STUPID @#@#@#!@!@!@!@!??????
- Last Quarter - It was a blowout and won't tell us much. Will probably paper over a lot, and we will rest on our laurels as usual
- Kick-ins and turnovers - still not great. There was really no pressure from the Scum
- Ratten and his Winning Team Policy - People like Carrazzo will live of this game for 18 months getting free passes. Also thought that Marcus Davies was not really up to it yet
- Scotland still seems to be in a slump

As odd as it sounds I think Richmond may give us a harder test next week

carrots is one of our toughest players and gets the ball himself a lot of the time. also he can brake tackles which not many other players can do.

Didn't go to the game, instead opting for a lovely 'Date night' with my girlfriend. IceSkating at southbank was a lot of fun.

JUDD
Wonderful guttsy stuff from Judd!

GARTLETT
Imagine how good he'll be with 50+ games under his belt?

ELLARD
I like the kid. Some of his efforts in the centre made me think he's played more than just a few games for us.

THE WIN
Ohhhhh....... so THAT'S what it feels like to beat those pricks.

ROBBO.
I like him up forward. Actually, I think I said it weeks ago that we should play him as a leading forward. He takes a great grab!

WAITE
Lifted........ and its about time he did too.

RATTS
Love his passion........ still have my doubts on him as a coach....... but love his passion nonetheless.

WARNOCK
Yup.... that's what I want to see from him. It's only taken him 2 years........ but good on him, keep it up.

CONS

CARRAZZO
I wasn't a fan of his last night, nor have I been for weeks. He's turnovers hurt us. Paper only says 6 clangers for last night but I thought it should have been more than that.

JAMO
Umm....... I don't know if I see what all the fuss is about. Don't think he's had a good year to be honest.

UMPS
FOR - THE - LOVE - OF - GOD..................... Send me your address folks, in return i'll send you some cash so you can buy a #$%@ING CLUE!
Seriously, some of that shit was laughable.
Ratts should have blasted them post match and said "If my jobs at stake because of poor performances, then surely that bullshit display of umpiring should be too!"

GETTING AHEAD OF OURSELFS?
Hope not. Great win, sure, but we still have so much to do. Let's not get ahead of ourselfs.

GIBBS.
Hmmmmmm. Just Hmmmmmm.

No one is going to piss on my parade with any cons. We beat that pack of spanners, and we beat them well.

For a whole week I refuse to 'look at 'the bigger picture' I'm living in the now and I do not care.

Pros:
Hunger, intensity, desire.
Goalkicking.
Been really impressed by what Ellard has been able to contribute.
Warnock, Carrots, Garlett, Grigg, Judd, Waite.

Cons:
5 free kick goals to Essendon*. Yet again were the umpires duped by More-frees and others. When will they ever learn?

Bit harsh, I reckon - was far from our most spectacular or productive on the stats sheet, obviously, but looked to have a very specific third-tall role. Spoiled well all night, and frequently covered opponents for his mates in defence.

I suspect the coaching staff would be very happy with his team-oriented performance.

Perhaps...... But he's got more potential and skill to be a "3rd tall defender"

Thought hendo was great. Played up the ground so didn't kick gls but it didn't matter, thought he showed clean hands n footy smarts. He really convinced me last night he will be a fine player

Pros

I wanted to visit TC again

Warnock arrives
Ellard - can play (I have misjudged the kid)
Grigg back to 2009 form (and in that form adds run and grunt)
Bower & Jamo regaining some form
Hendo just keeps improving

Hadley! - has anyone worked out what our win-loss ratio is when Hads is in the side (must be very good surely)

Amazing what changes when you put your head over the ball.

Con

Nothing

Pros
We didn't hold the ball up once that I could see.
We kept attacking in the last even when we were 50+ points up
The little jig when AJ kicked his goal
Carrots wooooo to Stanton
Grigga's flower you pu55y after kicking his goal
Hammers adorable smile when he finally nailed his goal
Robbo's affectionate hugging of the Tripper

We won
206 - I've been a Warnock sceptic but last week he played his best game for the club and this week he played his best game for the club. I was mainly sceptical because we seemed to have given up a lot to add to an area of developing ruckmen where we were already strong, but Warnock was the dominant ruckman tonight and also took an overhead mark

Hammer - always been a fan, leaping well, if only he had hands like hardingham

Ellard - not a lot of skill but guts and determination can carry you a long way
Carrazzo - gets a lot of criticism, but I am a fan bog early and late
Robbo - every side needs a mad dog
Garlett - may never again get so much room but he is a super talent
Essendon*'s defensive zone - use a maximum of 4 players to cover the whole oppo 50 and don't go within 20 metres of your opponent - let's hope the Pies and the Cats revert to that.

CONS
Not many but love to see our rucks make themselves options in the way Hille does
AJ - after the Nth debacle you'd wonder why he would ever do something stupid again....but.... He needs to understand that being tough is about not taking your eyes off the ball under pressure and not about whacking an oppo player in front of the umpire when the ball is dead and costing a goal. If he can't learn in the ones maybe he needs to learn in the Ants. Stupid players shouldn't be rewarded.
Eddie Betts set shot kicking - how can it be so bad
And I almost forgot, why did we use a number one draft pick on a back pocket player? Play Gibbs in the guts, winning the hard contested ball!

Sorry - I just got a little carried away by the extreme shitness of the umpiring on friday that I couldn't think clearly.

Thanks for picking that one up club

The match committee for picking players that put their head over the ball Grigg, Ellard, Hadley
WE HAVE FOUND THE LONG TERM RUCK COMBINATION
LESSON LEARNT NEVER TRADE A RUCKMAN
BIG HINT WE NEED SETANTA TO WIN A FINAL......WHO CAN TAKE BARRY HALL

Cons
The match committee for selecting soft footballers that contributed to our loss: Fisher, Johnson and a few others
The match committee for persisiting with Kreuzer in the Ruck. Have you learnt your lesson yet. Develop him as a KP forward. Carlton have ruckman and its not like we are going to recruit the extra forward
