Seeing the boys sing the song with pride after the game (well the brief bit Ch 7 allowed us to see)

Pros

Plan - one less forward picked, run forward, kick it to hot spot. Time after time we delivered it to goal square. Worked a treat.
Ellard - GUTS! He just got himself 3 more games. Good on ya son!
Warnock - followed up from last week. 'Harry' was mentioned a few times tonight.
Hammer - the marks are starting to stick. The old man said he is beginning to look like Gary Dempsey.
Ratts - like Julia, he finally lost his caution, said it how it is, made a statement at selection, and coached authoritively.

Cons

Bummers - unworthy opposition. We cut through them like butter. How much did they capitulate??!! Remember they were also 2-5 the last 7 games. Rot in 12th!!

4 hours to kill on the iPad at Prague airport to give shit to all the scum fans

Cons:

I wasn't there to see this in person

GO YOU BLUES!!!!

Pros:

Warnock
Grigg
Ellard
Hadley
Robinson
Garlett (or as Harley would say Gartlett)
Waite

The rest of the team were above average as well.

Cons:

Umpiring - that was the most disgracefully over-umpired game I have ever seen:

-Morefrees dive in the 1st 1/4
-Robbo's free for "too high" on Hille, when robbo ran into his arm
-Hille's "headbut" - high tackle
-Bower's holding the ball when he clearly got a handball, which also resulted in a 50m penalty against Army for kicking the ball away
-Waite's goal, that wasn't a goal
-Neagle's non-goal, which was a goal
-Judd getting a free for holding at the stoppage in the 3rd which wasn't there
-Many "chopping the arms" free kicks which weren't there
-Many "push in the back" frees which wern't there
-Nearly every 50m penalty that was paid
-Nearly every free kick that was paid

Seriously, the AFL need to simplify the rules so that there is less reason for an umpire to pay a free kick. Everytime I hear the whistle I cringe - not because I think it will go against us, but because I know I won't agree with the decision 75% of the time.

Just put the whistles away and let them play football FFS!!

- Lots !
- AJ, Waite responded really well
- Hadley and Ellard were great
- 206 keeps plugging away
- Murphy and Gibbs will take a lot from being played into form, will take pressure off.
- Forward line looked (semi) functional with no Yarran and no Setanta

CON
- The umpires - how the flower do they get away with that? how do they sleep at night???? Is David Evans paying them on the sly??? How are they so flowering STUPID @#@#@#!@!@!@!@!??????
- Last Quarter - It was a blowout and won't tell us much. Will probably paper over a lot, and we will rest on our laurels as usual
- Kick-ins and turnovers - still not great. There was really no pressure from the Scum
- Ratten and his Winning Team Policy - People like Carrazzo will live of this game for 18 months getting free passes.
Also thought that Marcus Davies was not really up to it yet
- Scotland still seems to be in a slump

As odd as it sounds I think Richmond may give us a harder test next week

Pros:

Warnock's tap work and follow up
Garlett's 6
Ellard's subtle knock ons and work at the bottom of the packs
Robbo on Feltcher
Grigg
Hammer's marking
Hendo's presentation
Seeing Campo squirm in the coaches box
76 point margin

Cons:

None

Edit: the umpires

Agreed.

Warnock is giving us cause to be very happy with our rucks.
Garlett's effort was awesome.
Grigg is getting back to his 08 form, and hopefully will keep improving past that.
Hadley was important to setting us getting us first use of the ball.
Ellard is starting to look at home. Great effort and desire for the ball. Wonder if some of those knockers are starting to reconsider..
Loved Campo as a player, but laughed when I saw him looking so uncomfortable in the red & black.

Cons:
Carrots - A pro and con. Turnovers were pretty ordinary.
Umps - didn't change anything, but a poor effort.
Missus trying to show me shoes on the internet during the game.

Won without Kreuzer, Walker, Yarran, Lucas, Mclean, Jacobs, Setanta, White, Fevola, Johnson, Houlihan and Thornton.

Dennis "steak knives" Armfield's handpass to the outrider in traffic and a lace out pass on the run under pressure.

Army is developing nicely...Please throw him or AJ at Jake King.

Three players jumping up and down on the spot after a goal.

Simpson: give him the B & F.

Con:

Won without Kreuzer.

Need a CHB.

Fisher probably won't get to 100 games.

Hadley has set back the development of our young midfielders.

Carrots was good but he still runs in circles far to often for mine. Take the @#$% 1st option for goodness sake!

Regards Cazzesman

That left hook to Dempsey will get him a week or two.

And will cost us an opponent for Cousins.

That isn't how you play tough footy.

Carrazzo only beats lightweights such as Dal Santo, Davey and Stanton.

IMO tonight's biggest pro was seeing ratt's work from the boundary.
seemed to work really well and loved seeing him show a little emotion

Ratten's best effort yet as coach by a mile. Where has that been?
Garlett (again)
Ellard - Looks ready now for AFL
Warnock - Starting to get some form
Judd (again)
Robbo - One of his more influential games so far
Just about every player lifted this week.

Cons:
None from me when they play like that...

One of the really good wins IMO

PROs:

- Robbo's discipline and demonstration of his coachability
- Warnock/Hadley/Ellard/Judd clearance work
- Hendo's presenting and footy smarts
- Garlett!!

CONs:

- If the umpires have clearly not woken up to Monfries' trick, then the players need to (wake up to it, that is). PLAY HIM FROM IN FRONT!! HE'S NOT THAT GOOD!!
- The 50m against Robbo for FOLLOWING FLETCHER THROUGH THE MARK!! That is NOT a 50. You're allowed to follow your man through. The umps even told a player earlier "You can follow him through..."

Why? You want Jake King to get as much of the ball as possible.

Pros
- Intensity,passion.
- Functioning forward line.
- Garlett, Warnock, Grigg, Ellard, Murphy and (needless to say) JUDD.
- Hampson starting to take some nice grabs. Could become a real handful up forward if he continues to improve.
- Henderson presenting and holding his marks.

Cons
- Match commitee. What the hell has Grigg been doing in the Bullants for most of the year?
- Bower still lacking composure under pressure.
- Joseph needs to do more.
- Davies not quite up to it (yet).

WARNOCK was the best thing to come out of this game.

Ryder or Hille just couldn't get first hands on the pill.

We are going to have to find ways to get value out of MK whilst still allowing Robbie to dominate the hit outs.

That was always going to happen.

206 gets his hand to the ball in a ruck duel moreso than MK.
It's when the ball hits the ground that MK really stands out.
Having said that, Warnock moves allright too.
In fact MK has had a huge influence on our other 3 ruckmen with their 2nd 3rd efforts and movement around the ground.

Imagine Warnock after 2 more preseasons on the weights, That's coming. He's still young and skinny.

How good was Hammer around the ground too. Apart from wayward set shot kicking (which can be fixed) he's progressing very well too.

Pros
I went to game after saying earlier in week i wouldnt go on protest.
Warnock, was brilliant all night
Judd, a star
Garlett, if he doesnt get this weeks NRS nomination then the award should be scrapped.
Robbo
Murphy's last quarter
Ellards improvement
Grigg, please be staying.
Waite
Four quarters of hard football
We won against this mob finally, payback for the last 3 years.
Love the MCG
Hendo

Cons
The umpiring :banghead: :banghead:
The crowd was pretty disappointing and many Carlton supporters stayed away.

PROS:
Scoreboard
JUDD
Garlett
Ellard, Grigg & Hads adding grunt to our midfield
Warnock, Hammer & Hendo showing steady improvement
Backline is still a work in progress, but good to see Jamo & Bower showing signs they are running into some form/confidence
Murph's last quarter
An overall improvement across the board in intensity and team play

CONS:
Umpires.
The difference between our best and worst is massive.
Carrots might get a holiday courtesy of the MRP.
Robbo had a good night, but he will have a very short career if he keeps leading with his head.
Scoreboard looks great, but flatters us IMO. The Bombers matched us for 3 quarters and if they had put us under scoreboard pressure I reckon the last quarter would have been much closer....It was good to see our players enjoying the win, but there was a few players whooping it up a little too much for mine. Sure, sing the song and enjoy the win, but I hope the coach quickly pulled the players together and got things in perspective. I sometimes think we indulge in a bit too much back-slapping after a victory (players, officials and supporters alike).

Very happy with Davies debut after a very slow start.

Need Robbos hardness and uncompromising nature.

Warnock about time -- played a ripper.

Murphy and Gibbs still struggling...although Murphster was showing some signs Gibba was focussing on the team things...no complaints but we cant depend on Judd only to break games open when it counts most.

The sooner we move all our home games to the G the better.
