... I'm torn.

Do I want him to turn us around and succeed, thus hanging onto his job...

Or, do I want him to fail and plunge us deeper into the mire, thus ridding us of his ineptitude?

Hmmmm

Completely unsourced and he is not the most reliable. Has turned into a Hutchy gossip-merchant, befitting the show he works for.

If it were true I'd be disappointed. I think we have been poor for the last two months, but pre-season no one thought we'd make the eight. Ordinary or not, we have been better than 9 other teams this year and its not like we are old.

It's ok. Ratts is throwing out the playbook. We'll see the real Ratten now ;)

If that's the case, I expect that we move forward at every opportunity.

* He mentioned that this is a shift on the Carlton coaching outlook

* Believes that he may be sacked even if Carlton limp into the finals

* Ratts is contracted till end 2011 but Carlton people believe that retaining him is more expensive than parting company

* he is amongst the lowest paid coaches in AFL

* This entire news item / scoop is based of phone calls that he (Barret) has received and phone calls that he has made.

Bugger that washed-up pharmacist. Get Brenton Sanderson and a bunch of new bloods in for an interview.

not keen on a untried coach, as no guarantee they will do any better than ratts (voss is a good example)

What a load of rubish. This is a group of unskilled players would make the best coaches in the world look bad. The number one prority is to turn the list over ... they are mostly not worth persisting with except for about 5 players.

I'd back a more independent and qualified process to do the job. The change of guard obviously wouldn't end with Ratten.
