Hopefully the media keeps putting the blowtorch on the players. |

Bit of editorial licence witht he headline there. The article isn't about Gibbs as the headline suggests. |

Just another way stats can be made to support any old argument. Although i agree that Gibbs should be getting more of the hard-ball, as a Half-back he is more likely to get uncontested possessions. I would like to see the stats of other HBF's in the league to compare their stats. The one who should be embarrassed is Carrazzo!! For someone who plays predominantly in the midfielder, even as a tagger, his stats should be up near Judds. What this shows is that he likes to be the link man, when in actual fact his skill set shows that he should be the complete opposite, he should be the in-an'under type we are screaming for. |

Very damning article, it really brings home the "white collar" mindset of our mids. Stuff all the other stats Ratts, this is as good as it gets in explaining our current malaise. |

Does it though? If you mean that Gibbs hasn't been used correctly, I agree. The article is totally misleading though. If Gibbs has been used predominantly off half back, why compare his hard ball stats with midfielders? How about comparing them with other HB's? Apples and Oranges. Gibbs hard ball stats could actually be ok for a HB, but the Hun won't tell us that. |

Its not about number of hard ball gets ... its about % of hard ball gets ... just because Gibbs does not play much in the midfield ... his % should still be higher than what it is. We would be dead in the water without Judd. |

I think we got the wrong Dee. They have several natural hard goers in the guts --- Silvia, Maloney, Jones + Trengrove looks like he is hard enough Brock had better deliver |

Moloney is injured after corking his hip which has bled into his thigh. Sound familiar? |

So not sure what games u have seen him play Maloney is injured, so are about 1 in 6 players in the AFL |

It's a disgrace that Judd and Murphy (two of our better ball users) are forced to do so much of the grunt work. |

So not sure what games u have seen him play Maloney is injured, so are about 1 in 6 players in the AFL ..Jones goes very O.K if you follow my drift, has had some better games this year.. ..Moloney missed a season or two, more or less with a buggered back? i think.. ..he's no more durable than Brock [possibly less].. ..Silvia likewise is injured frequently, took years to deliver on his 'pick', and when delivered it was less than a season's worth of quality.. ..isn't as good this year as compared to last.. ..IF Brock can stay fit, he's the best of that lot in my opinion.. .... ..just needs to be fit consistently to show it.. |

..what i liked about the article was some proper recognition for the work Murphy does as well.. ..no real preseason, entering round 1 underdone, and he's still been working as hard as ever.. .... .and still young.. ..senior players in simpson, scotland and carrazzo need to lead from the front more.. ..judd and murphy cant go it as batman and robin all season long.. |

We haven't had a decent, hard-working, in & under midfielder since Scott Camporeale. |
