Fisher is useless and we all know it. Thornton is one of the few guys on our list that can actually take an overhead mark, is a good kick for goal and knows how to apply defensive pressure. |

Why do people insist that so & so is useless and we all know it ? I for one dont know if Fisher is useless, I have hardly seen him play this year. AND what about those who say Thorton is useless, now we gonna play him in the forward line,,,,,,,,,,,,,, my head hurts !!!!!!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I agree that Fisher should never play another game for Carlton. His second efforts are non-existent and his lack of ability to use his body and keep his feet in the contest set up many, many, many forrays forward for opposition sides. His one asset is his ability to mark. There are not many people that would put their house on fisher kicking a goal from more than 35 meters out. By being out bodied so easily our crumbing forwards have virtually no chance of roving the loose ball. Not sure thornton would be a better option. Actually, I am not sure we have any better options. |

Firstly I'm not sure why Brad Fisher is still associated with CFC and why he'd even be given a chance to make a topic as he should only be known as "Could have been, Should have been" and now will probably go on to be a 100 game player.. FOR WHAT? Same goes for Bret Thornton who should have been shipped to Hawthorn when he was worth something. Beats me, it really does. Brad Fisher, 8th season, 99 games, 127 goals, 2002 National AFL Draft 6th round selection (Carlton) No. 72 overall. Those are the credentials of a passed player. Play Thornton forward? This sounds like a bandaid solution to the forward line when we've got the players who just aren't used there? Personally, Thornton back in defense and Waite PERMANENTLY forward is the obvious choice. Maybe Walker up forward? Not even based on his last quarter efforts against the pies but his ability to make a lead. What was Match Committee thinking playing Fisher ahead of Robinson? Thornton cannot be used as a leading forward, he does not have the ability to do so. I'd actually think Houlihan would provide a better target only JUST. Conclusion, Brad Fisher brings disgrace to the CFC jumper, harsh? Well it's reality, he clearly showed no promise in his junior days, hence pick 72, and not to mention 8 long years on the list. Just another VFL gun, AFL dud. |

There were many ordinary efforts and players v Collingwood, and of the bottom 5 players - Fisher wasn't one of them. (dunno who the bottom 5 really were - far to hard to fit 20 players into it, but I thought that it would add credibility to my post) He took a couple of grabs (we don't take many in the F50) and did more than others, give Fish his game to 100 and pick him for 101 if he is the best player left on our list for the role that we need. |

Thornton for Fisher is shifting the deck chairs on the the Titanic. Fisher for Casboult, Jacobs or Ohailpin makes more sense |

Fish is a good looking rooster who'll probably have at least two sons. And you want to leave him stranded on 99 games?? Well, don't come bitching to me in 2030 when Max Fisher is AA U18 CHF, and his younger brother is starring at CHB in the U16s. |

I'd rather Carrie Fisher in the forward line frankly. |

Play Fisher one more time, get him a nice banner and then retire him to stud. With Eloise Southby. |
