The Best Coaches in the world could not help these players. Don't blame Ratten for that crapola.

Sack the whole team ... start again.

Unskilled, poor decision making pack of pathetic prima donnas.

That was the most embarrassing performance in my 40 years of watching the Blues.

I reckon the club needs to go all-out and trade for a superstar that will help us to #17.

Somebody like Judd i reckon, rumour is it he wants to come home.

Apparently, Pavlich will solve all our problems according to some

You know, Pavlich, the best coach in the league, one or two more seasons of development from an injury free list, just might nab it but, of course, the amount of 'ifs' make it fairyland stuff. We need a culture overhaul and to do it the hard way.

That's my point exactly.

3 years ago, bringing Judd into our team we instantly thought we were in with a shot at the premiership. NOW? We might not even make the finals, but more to that point is that we don't even deserve to be there.

The entire club needs a overhaul.

I've searched high and low and I can't find a single poster who wrote that. Can you find it for me?

I heard that Richmond are in the box seat to get Judd.

Right now, Richmond are in the box seat to overtake us by 2012

You are not wrong there.
Watched their game today on tv, they are playing with passion and confidence. I doubt we will beat them in 2 weeks time.
We are going backwards at 100 miles an hour and most teams will overtake us over the next few years and doing without 3 number one draft picks.

Hopefully you'll be there supporting them. You act like one, why not become one?

Just letting you know Doc, I don't tend to respond to attacks of a personal nature. It usually indicates that the respondent is deficient in argumentative cognitive processes. Now I don't know you well enough to make that assertion so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Fair enough 99. Amazing that we were two of the few who called for Pagan to be given the axe...probably for varying reasons...now the club is under the pump again and you are saying the same things - albeit a different name...'get rid if Ratten'...and repeat.

It's not that simple an answer unfortunately. It's complex - a lot more than all you nay-sayers realise. You just can't keep saying 'sack the coach' and expect a new face to come in and take the team to where your expectations lie. It doesn't happen that way - and it won't happen with this group. We need some changes...I hope they happen, but I suspect mine are different than yours.

Spot on we need to do it the hard way. No quick fixes like getting Pavlich.

Look at Melbourne and Hawthorn. When they bottomed out, they didn't trade away draft picks, for quick fixes like a Judd or a Pavlich, or for dud's like Warnock and McLean. Instead they used their picks on the best available young talent in the draft.

With their recruiting method, Hawthorn won a premiership, and Melbourne are playing better than we are at the moment, and are only 1 win and a draw behind us on the ladder. Melbourne also have a younger list than we do.

We still seem to be living in the past of trading pick's for quick fixes. Until we change this strategy, at best we will only be a middle of the table mediocre team.

Now I wouldn't say Judd was a mistake, unless you really really like the look of Masden (which I don't).

The decision to draft Chris Johnson was ridiculous, I know we got him in the PSD, but all he is doing at the moment is preventing us from getting a look at a bloke like Davies.

The Brock McLean trade looks bad, and I wouild give it a 10% chance of it paying dividends. Looks like his body is shot, hes too slow, and we gave up pick 11 for the trouble.

We may have given up too much for Warnock, but we have rucking depth, which gives us a good bargaining position going forward. I think Warnock will be fine, we have been lucky Jacobs has come on as well. Time will tell with this one, but I think we will be ok.

The Fevola trade - I think we have done extremely well, as we have got 2 prospects out of it in Lucas and Henderson, and given up a travelling circus.

Big problem is leadership, and that isn't easily resolved. We basically lost all our good leaders in one swoop between 2000-2002 and they have never adequately been replaced since. We currently have Judd, and Simmo is a good lead by example type, but overall the group is too introverted and meek. As much as people will hate me saying it, that comes from our lack of experience of our best players. Our experience is bolstered somewhat by guys like Houlihan and Scotland, but their hardly on-field leaders who will write a sinking ship like Saturday's (well the last 2 months) debacle.

For all of Fev's faults, he could turn matches off his own boot, and we do miss that. We also miss, and people under-estimate his loss to the team, Nick Stevens. Having a seasoned midfielder with great kicking skills is something we really miss, especially in games like the Doggies and the Swans when no one could hit a target to save their lives going forward, Stevo could of potentially drilled a pass and calmed our nerves.

As deplorable as the past 2 months have been, we are getting to learn more about the list, hopefully it teaches everyone at the club (players and staff) that we aren't on some ascent to the top which will happen on its own accord by some divine right because we have 3 number one picks and Juddy.

I actually think we will drop out of the 8 and wont win another game, we will have an extensive review (Geelong/Bulldogs style) which will sharpen up the resolve of the whole place come 2011.

Good point Re: trades. People overreact when really we have traded pretty well since the Cain Ackland mess. Sure the McClean trade hasn't exactly come good so far, but it's not a culture of trade disasters.

Was really happy with Warnock on Saturday
