Anyone see the pre Bolton and post Bolton heat maps for Charlie last night on 'on the couch'? Staggering.

As Gerard said, Teague was fwd coach under BB but clearly had little say.

Yes, poor Charlie might get cold loitering in the F50 all game.

The interesting thing though is that many people on here were banging on about CC getting up the ground more and using his athletic ability. Any more and he would have been fighting for marks with Weitering and Jones / Levi.

Data tells us a bit.

IIR we were banging on about making him a midfielder, not about making him a high forward out to the wing.

Problem was that Bolton was using all our KP forwards as 'high half forwards'. :banghead:

Problem was that Bolton thought the goals were at the 50m arc.

Or to be more precise, the intersection of 50m arc and boundary line.

There are a couple of players I’d like to see given a go under Teague.

Garlett and Fasolo.

The difference in the way we move the ball I think would help both of them if they were playing forward.

I am not a Fasolo fan at all and didn’t understand the recruitment but the way we lead in the forward line now would suit him.

Garlett would also benefit from the more direct, back your strengths attitude we now play with.

And both probably are on the edge of delisting so let’s see what they’ve got under a different coaching strategy.

Not sure if it happens this week but hopefully in the following 5.

No thanks. Both not up to AFL standard.

Really?

No need to see if a new coach, structure and attitude would make a difference to them? Would have been a nightmare playing in that forwardline. Gibbons was being played as a deep forward. It was a mess.

Lang so firmly entrenched he should remain in the team?

Both on the chopping block so what’s the harm in having one last look with the aforementioned changes in place?

Not much chop at VFL level either.

hasn't Garlett kicked 2, 3 and 2 goals in the VFL? Might be worth a look?

Last week.
Garlett 2 goals
Fasolo 19d 1g3b
Week before
Garlett 2g
Fasolo 18d 2g1b
Three weeks ago
Garlett 3g
Fasolo 21d 1g1b

Again, I’m not a huge fan of either, but they’re worth a last look, not instant dismissal especially when Lang is still getting a game.

Pretty good numbers for small forwards.

I think Fasolo has been playing more a midfield role.

Makes sense. They seemed a bit high for a small forward.
Maybe this is the change he needs to get back into some form.

We are now five wins and two losses under Teague.
Of the two losses, we should have beaten Melbourne. They won it with six seconds to go after a shank from Simmo.
The Dogs we also lost to by less than a kick but in all fairness it would have been the heist of the decade had we won.
Just so, it makes Teague's record even more impressive. One ounce of luck and we are an outside chance at the eight.
It will be hard for the selection panel to ignore what he is achieving.
On top[ of that, if the boys can hold their own against WCE next week, the comp will sit up and take note.
We are not back yet but we are over the worst of it at last (unless we select a shit coach).

We are a massive chance to beat West Coast if we keep playing as we have been.

I think we are at the point where if Clarko says no, it will be Teague.

I have heard from a iffy source that it's Roos with Teague as the most likely.
