Limping along ... :sad:
Waite out for 2 for being physical
Brock ... another injury out for 4, patience wearing thin :yikes:
Kruezer, the only player who brings 100% work rate weekly (with Jammo), season over
Hadley - spudriffic, nuff sed :mad:
Ohailpin - spudrific (say what u want but he will never be a premiership player) :banghead:
Browne - not convinced he shows much :screwy:
Warnock - worth it??? with players we have picked up in Rookie draft id say not :donk:
Betts - playing like deledio - smashing the last quarters when games are done
Thorton - like him but not up to scratch, not fit for the mighty navy blues :arrow:

We were flying at 7 and 4 :razz:
Now we are limping at 7 and 6 :sad:
Hear things like people saying "ask any carlton player being 7 and 6 at half way mark and theyd be happy"

My only hope is that after this inexplicable slump we bounce back
Bring back the Hammer, he'll be a star, hopefully a ff/ruck star, White i think we be a gun and will take T-Birds spot, Lucas and Yarran look to be top players, jammo not even on 50 games and is leading comp in spoils and rarely gets a goal kicked on him, we have the run of half back with walker, army, bower, aj. our problem is protection el capitano!!! and we NEED another forward or two! id love to see hammer take FF, jacobs and kruez ruck, ohailpin delisted, betts traded :D then anything is posbile :D

I'd love to see Hammer given more opportunities to play but surely he is a ruckman? So many posters seem to think he can make it as a forward but I'm not convinced.

Tippett at the Crows had a stand out year at FF and his success changed the way many thought about your traditional FF. But there have not been too many 200cm FF's who have had success. Tippett himself has been down this year also. Resting a big guy up forward is ok but playing as a permanent forward.....I dont think so. But I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Simon White on the otherhand IMO could develop into a great forward. He's played as a defender but the beauty of this kid is that he can play back and forward. With big MK going down with a knee and on the long term injury list young White (who has already proven he can play) can be put back onto the senior list and the time is now for White I reckon.

Setanta has plugged the FF space for us and has done pretty well. Blues will likely persist with him in 2010 but he is not our long term solution. Hendo maybe... but will be better long term at CHF.

White to FF for me.

..can be prone to junk time goals, but his last Q goals vs freo gave us the sniff of a comeback, if we won it'd be on the back of his and Hendo's late goals in the match.. ..not cheap goals at all..

So I guess Eddie Betts 5 goals to grag us back into the game against North by 3 quarter time don't count.

This thread is telling me something - only look at the last game you play, what you see from that is total evidence of what is true and what will be true forever :screwy:

Eddie is the least of our worries. Geez without his "junkies" we'd be in real trouble. He's no Cyril, but he can play, esp when he's not playing CHF !!! Setanta was obviously struggling with his calf condition the last two games and lost much of his mobility - he was fine before that.

Since when has Hammer held his marks ? Until he can mark it, he simply can't play FF. Bottom line is, we currently have no senior player that is close to being a FF. Setanta is the best we have for now, until Levi and/or Donaldson are developed.
