so if we went down a different path - a bit like David Hale from the Kangaroos - you might think of them as ruckmen but they have more strings to their bow

I hope they turn out better than Hale

if we hit our KPI's and the opposition hits their KPI's what happens?

Does silence descend, the world freezes, all motion stops? Is it like anti-matter meeting matter?

Do we hit a singularity?

What!!!!

"KPI"'s. The refuge of the poor manager. Invented by HR departments to create the illusion that their is some sort of 'goal' at work and that if you meet this usually impossible target, wonderful rewards will follow.

very well summed up dannyboy. KPI's are rubbish and imply that once met, work can stop.

Its &&**ing football not a Harvard business course.

Deep breaths blue4. Look at the list as a whole and you will see you win some and lose some (that is if we have lost on this trade. plenty of time for it to come good).

CFC are doing OK, however reality is Ratten hasn't got the Blues playing with what I call Premiership qualities.

Look at the Hawks for example.

They play that defensive game that makes it impossible to score against when they are on song, and they bring genuine toughness to the game

And before you say to me "Hawks won't win the Flag" let me remind u they already won one

I don't see Ratten doing anything original at CFC as coach, not setting new AFL benchmarks, just copying other coaches

We still rely too much on Judd in the middle (Ratten refuses to play our other ball winner Gibbs on ball) and we are not one of those who are impossible to bring the ball out of defense - like the Hawks and Saints

In order to be better than the rest in todays AFL you can't afford 'lose' too many trades, especially when giving up a first rounder.

Let's hope Brock can get his body right to play and perform consistently good footy.

How were the Hawks playing in the years leading up to their Premiership year. I would think if we have Premiership window it is from 2012 on. No club goes from 0-100 in the blink of an eye. It took the Cats and the Lions 5 years to build up to the quality team there are/were.

That is total BS about Gibbs. He hasn't 'refused' he has just had Gibbs back to cover for the loss of Walker and/or Bower plus the lack of run provided by T-Bird. Once Bower is back into the swing of things and Lucas can go to HB Gibbs will spend more time around the middle.

Regards Cazzesman
