Good win in the end, thanks to Judd dragging us over the line.

Our inability to strangle opponents and smother their chances when we are well on top indicates we have a way to go with our mental strength.

Still, 7-4 at the half-way point of the season and a 41pt win today in shocking conditions. Happy with that.

Joey Ando looked completely out of his depth today.....sad

Started well, we dropped off and were challenged. The good thing is we responded. Our good players stepped up and got us over the line in the end. I also thought it was good to have a decent hit out in the wet, it may come in very handy later in the year.

All in all it is good to get the 4 points and move onto next week where we can really put our claims on a top 4 spot.

Very easy win; result never in doubt.

Only reasons they got a sniff was the wet weather, and us trying to give experience to our third string midfielders.

As soon as we put in our better players, we pulled away again.

Not much we can read into this game except we are a far, far better side than Melbourne.

Good win in the end! We would have taken it any day of the week. I actually think the umpires had a lot to do with the momentum shift in the third, but maybe I am just one-eyed ;) The only concern for mine is Joey Anderson -- don't think he deserves to be there right now. Just lacks the smarts, even though he does some good things. The rest of them all belong with plenty more talent to come back into the side. Also, the Waite report was one of the softest ever. It will surely get thrown out.

Big sauce Jacobs speaks well, really impressed with him at the moment. I still think in time Hammer will be our second ruck but Jacobs is having a great year.

Brilliant effort to fight back from 1-8 after 9 rounds to be 7-4 after 11.

Agreed. He's only looked good in one of his games so far this year.

Thankfully, from a team perspective, we have the quality on the injury bench to step up once fit.

Not a chance; it'll be throw out before it even reaches the tribunal.

41 points in the wet considering the flag favorites beat them by 54 in the dry on their own dung heap with the dees resting their 2 young guns

Not bad

Hendo with 8
Maclean 30 +
grigg 30+

bower and armfield set for return

Looking good if you ask me

I feel bad for saying this but I hope the pies get up tomorrow, a game inside the 4 would be a great result for the first half of the year.

I hope so Lurker, I thought he was going for the mark (no replay shown at the ground). He needs the Hille Defence.

Gerald Waitely on ABC said he was looking at weeks  .

Not just looking at weeks but certain to get weeks, it had me concerned but Lurker let me know the facts. The vision I saw on channel 10 was a clumsy marking attempt. If there is weeks in that I have grave doubts for the physicality in our game.

Yeah, he was already in the air, going for the mark, when Bate came back with the flight.

Unless people have discovered how to come to a stop in the air, there was absolutely nothing Waite could do to stop the contact.

There is no way Waite will get dubbed for that. It was a free kick as it was late - a report is a joke.
