Pros
- We are in a position to bitch about a 5 goal win.
- Walker, great start to game.
- Murphy did some nice defensive things today.
- Robinson was great early.
- Cemented our place in the 8.

Cons
- That last quarter was absolute shit!
- Mental toughness still needs sharpening up, which is to be expected, but I had hoped for better given our dominance everywhere except scoreboard.

Pro: Gibbs 45 possession

Con: We traded a bloke who has kicked 29:5 for the season.

PRO :- tackling and defensive pressure. Bring that the result for often than not takes care of itself.

CON:- Patches of not scoring goals. Bad kicking being the main culprit but also times when we just couldnt score. Cost us percentage.

PROS: Houlihan, Lucas, Waite, Bower, Armfield and Yarran all would be in the top 22 if fit.

i'm just trying to think who the 6 blokes that would get squeezed out? good to have such depth now.

CONS: complacency seems to be creeping in. after giving up 50 points worth of precious percentage last week, we had a really chance to make up for it and even gain some and yet took the foot off and coasted home.

that pecentage could be the difference between a double chance come finals. dissapointing.

over all 6/10 today, 7 if we kicked straight and won by the 60 we should have.

just that fact that people are dissapointed to the point were the boys almost got boo-ed off today after a 5 goal win with 5/6 of our best 22 shows you how far we have come.

Mclean - i'm a big fan of his but thats his 3rd very average game in a row. it's not fit he should not be playing. it looks like he is playing in gumboots. slow my foot and head, and out of sync with his team mates.

needs to either rest/recover properly and sting 2/3 BOG in a row in the 2s before he should come back.

A very similar game to the Fri night last year when we won comfortably in a lacklustre performance.
Take the 4 points but will need to lift next week to win.

PROS

1. Murphy – was freed of the number 1 tag for the first time in a while and did some elite things. His work in traffic is really becoming A-grade.

2. Gibba – was sensational, still had the 16 contested touches. Wasn’t manned up and I would like to see him play in the middle.

3. Jammo – the general down back gets a mention for consistency. Always closes when you think he can’t.

4. Joseph – wins a lot of one on one contests and has been good after a shabby first few rounds.

5. Walks – slotted right in.....quality player

CONS

1. Brock McLean – if there was a stat for percentage of times you get tackled with the ball, he’d be leading. Pick 11???? I haven’t seen a skerrick of evidence he’s worth it.

2. Thornton is just holding his place in the team due to injuries.

3. Anderson – loses touch with his opponents too easily. Isn’t really up to it.

4. Maybe another injury to scotto – that would cost us.

5. Could’ve piled on the percentage but didn’t have the will or skill. We’re just going along at the moment and will need to lift against a plucky Melbourne outfit who we should beat if we’re ‘on’.

6-4 is better than we expected. Big game next week, expected to win but it won’t be easy. Need to increase the intensity after 3 relatively shabby performances.

And we know Mitch has a crack but it would be nice if he thought about what to do with the footy instead of blazing away. Too untidy.

Just back from the game, pretty lacklustre win

PROS
Gibbs
Garlett's defensive pressure
Walker, excellent return
Sammy J holding his own
Hendo battled hard
Won easily withour Judd having to dominate
Eddie Betts great hands on the lead
Scotto very good.

CONS
Lacked energy and spark
Side looked tired and jaded
Why would you ever play Hadley and McLean in the same team - pick one or the other not both
Eddie Betts set shots, how can you miss easy goals when you are playing inside the Dome!
NicNat easily outreached Big K at the centre bounce
Some woeful defensive work whenever we hold the ball above our heads. Can someone tell the players that holding the ball above your head doesn't mean you mark it, hold it up then woalk back slowly with your back to play, turn around in time to see all the loose players covered and then get called to play on or bomb it long, slowling it down doesn't mean being totyally unaware.

Pros
----
Gibbs/Murphy
Walker's return!!!!
Garlett (would have loved him to kick that goal...)
Henderson - I think this guy will be great
O'hAilpin - created several opportunities in addition to his 3 goals, strong marking good kicking (field & for goal)
Midfielder goals - I love it when Judd, Murphy & Gibbs all kick a goal
Came out hot - knew we would win after 5mins
Several top liners to come back

Cons
----
The fire went out too easily... should really have won by 10goals.
Holding up the ball (this MUST go. if we need to rest or slow it down, do so in OUR forward line...)
Brock - disappointing (I will still give him the benefit of the doubt but he is running out of time....)
Robinson's panicked disposal

We will need to work MUCH harder against the excitable young Dees with a fresh Scully & Trengove.
Hopefully, we will have a fresh Waite, Bower, Houlihan, Anderson...

Should have won by so much more, fwdline just a shambles at times bec Santy is good but not great and Hendo is 2 yrs off - Waite is our #1 fwd so welcome him back next week and we will look a different side capitalising more on fwd 50 entries

Also suspect Grigg in time (if he stays a blue) could be the answer in the guts. Brock and Hads are servicable but slow, whereas grigga is renokwn for clearance work, and is younger, taller, just as tough and strong, and can also run. I think he is the player we need in that midfield, when he gets his act together.

And Bower down back is an obvious one.

3 key cogs in the machine

Pros

Walker back and still giving us some great run from the back 50.
Sauce
Murph through traffic was lovely to watch
Hadley
Jeffy
Carrots on Hurn was a great tactic
4 pts, move along to the mid season break infront of the ledger with some luck
1 week closer to getting Bower, White and Waite back so that we can let another tall defender have another rest.
1 week later and Gibbo might have added another 0 to the contract
I was happy with Joey and Browne today. They played their part.
Woosher starting young Selwood on Juddy got us off to a flier. (stupidest move this season)

Cons
Messy at times
Not enough run at times.
Robbo's kicking when he fatigues

Regards Cazzesman
