Think this would be up there with one of the best wins in the last couple of years.

Looked like our intensity was way off but we found a way after being 3 goals down - previously would've fallen away and given up.

Dennis Armfield terrific workrate, hardness, persistence, concentration and disposal. BOG for mine...took out their most damaging mid and hurt him the other way.

Kreuz grew into the game and got on the scoreboard.

20 marks inside 50 to 7 - GAGF Fev you weak scumbag...we don't need you.

GAGF you footy experts...we don't need him.

Cons:

Waite's brainfade...will get a few weeks but least Hendo can come into the team.

Channel 7 showing everything but the live action - when will these imbeciles learn we don't want to see replays while the game continues. We don't want to see the coaches box. You @#$%&! hacks...show us the @#$%&! GAME...it can't be too hard!

Pro: great win - a game that probably would have slipped away a year or two ago

Cons: Waite report
Lucas injury

So many pros.

- Judd was incredible, especially that last quarter. Damn he makes a huge impact, brings so much confident out of the other boys too.
- Armfield was super again. Has good pace and provides great run out of defence
- Setantas Little Helpers each had a quiet game, but OHailpin and Kreuzer stood up, good to see.
- Not really anything to do with todays win, but Henderson booted 4 in the ressies, i hope he can come back in and do that in afl.

Cons

- Where was that urgency of the last quarter during the first three quarters?
- We got towled up in the clearences up until half time, but turned it around.
- Kane Lucas hamstring injury

Pro: this looks like a premiership side almost formed...even down to the lumbering sauce ruckman.
Waite will be super fresh after a few weeks off or in the V's.

Con: hmmmmm it wasn't in Melbourne.
Go you beauties!! :gift:

Thought Simmo's 2nd half was exceptional

Pros
Missed most of the first half.
Caught the last half
To win like that with such a short break is awesome!
Simmo and Scotto - stringing together some great games - showing great leadership!
Juddy!
Simon White is such a surprise packet.
Backline gelling nicely.
Cons
Waite's idiocy!
Two sore hammies
T-Birt seems to be really struggling (would welcome comments from those at the game on that one)
Over 24 hours until I get to watch the game.

Pros

The Win :fight:
Armfield
Thornton
Juddy
Simmo
Krooz
Setanta
Yazz......down most of day but found a way when it mattered. Some lovely little dishes in heavy traffic :smoking:
Johnson getting better and should keep his spot
Murph raised his level after quiet first half, ditto Gibbsy.
Actually loved the ball in the air routine this week, esp the last 2 mins :donk:

Cons

Umpiring.
Waitey
Sugar's hammy.

Pro: James Courtney was fantastic at Winton today.
I haven't seen the game yet so get to watch it after a sunday roast at 7.30 tonight. On Fox so no advertising $$ for #7

Cons: Channel 7 are a bunch of Monfries. Just give Foxtel the coverage if you don't want to show it. Seriously, does ANYONE care about V8 racing?

Pros

Simmo very good game,
Army kept Pearce quiet,
Juddy and Sentata were also very good.

Cons

Waite brain fade and I think he has carry over points. In his defence, IIRC Davenport did lower his head and came back on so it might be 2 weeks. The rest might do him good.
David Swartz what a nuff nuff. Did you know that Port are a good 4th quarter team (well take that)
The bogan in the crowd who had #33 on his back that threw the ball away from JR

I'm totally there with you. I nearly had a bloody aneurysm and scared the shit out of my dog yelling at the tv with the rubbish the director made us endure. And why are they so obsessed with zooming in so close to the player with the ball that you have no idea what's happening with the game? Does my head in.

Pros
Simpson, Carrazzo, Judd and Armfield were awesome.
Yarran again showed glimpses of his talent with that mark in the second and that goal in the last.
Setanta is catching Fev on the goal tally.
I thought White had his best game today and was suited by not having to play on a big key forward.

Con
Another 0.1% and we'd be fourth
Losing Waite (although I think the Port player contributed to it but ducking his head - I hate how players are encouraged to lead with their heads with the new interpretation, it creates more problems than it solves.)

Win of the season so far – two men on the bench, tough uncompromising footy, and a game where we weren’t at our best early, but picked ourselves up off the canvas to record a really impressive win.

Gutsy Effort! A type of win that ‘good teams’ create out of nothing.

PROS

1. Kade Simpson – the most consistent player at CFC. Underrated by opposition. Presents and presents and presents.

2. Kreeuuuuuuuz – what a star – took marks in all areas of the ground – contested marks. And delivered under pressure. Taught Brogan a lesson.

3. The Half-Back Bluebaggers – Russell, Army, Joey. Run Run Run all day and are the creative spark of the team.

4. Setanta – looks like something has clicked. Doesn’t look so confused anymore. Keeps delivering/

5. Yarran – has class written all over him.

CONS

1. Waite – Just got off the hook for high contact last week in quarter one, then does it again. So, So, So goddamn stupid. Goooone. What a shame.

2. Concentration lapses – we just went to sleep for about 5 minutes in the 2nd and 3rd quarter and they nailed us for it. Sloppy 50m penalties and lazy disposal. Have to concentrate 100% of the time.

3. The new trend of ‘team tagging’ Judd and putting the real number one tagger on Murph is making it really hard for Marc. He battled through but was beaten in the first half.

4. Want Bower and Walker back so badly – They are both far superior to Thornton with their ball use. Thornton was OK defensively today.

5. Teams are now dragging Bryce to the goal line if he plays back, which diminishes his effectiveness somewhat.

We are on a real roll!

The coaching staff changed things up big time after the Round 3 debacle, and something has clicked – we’ve been great ever since.

COME ON THE BLUES!

Pros:
A win against the odds and our form for the best part of three quarters.
The games of Armfield, Kreuzer and Simpson + ubiquitous praise of Judd
Best start to the year since 2001
Continued to persevere in getting our game going right until Port finally caved (probably in the last 10 mins of the third which we dominated without converting it onto the scoreboard) - the ball use on the fat side and through the centre corridor in the last brought back memories of, well, last week when we were able to do it from the start.

Cons:
Injuries and suspension will force changes
Yarran and Garlett are great when they get the ball but they tend to have long patches without any influence on the game - even true of last week's match - Garlett played one exceptional quarter - Yarran is yet to have a game with 20+ possies if memory serves - sure they're small forwards but they need to get more of it.
Stupid 50 metre penalties
Question marks remain on disposal of Johnson and reliability of White and Thornton - although White was much better this week than last.

Pros: Finally worked out that when I ate the pretzels I got at half-time we played well.

Cons: Ate pretzels non-stop during the last quarter and am now choc full of salt.

Pros
----
Judd (obligatory first Pro...)
Great come from behind win (a game I don't think we would have won last year)
2nd stringers lifting their games, pulling their weight - esp. Armfield, Setanta.
Johnson - has completely changed his attack on the ball & the man from last year. warrants a place next week.

Cons
----
Ch.7 - close ups where I can't see anything other than the player with the ball to long shots where i can't find the ball to weird angles so i don't know which way the goals are to replays where I can't see the actual play to commentary on previous events so I can't hear what is going on!

Lucas went off in the first quarter, Montgomery mentioned an injury to Richardson's face in the quarter time interview, and Richo still didn't report it for 3 quarters.

They should get back to reporting the game and not giving their own irrelevant opinions - Morons!
