What's that old saying????

Defence wins you premierships!

We've certainly stepped up this year and I think Jamo's leadership down back is crucial. Well done Blues.

Makes you wonder what happened in that Collingwood game though. 155 points????

I agree defence has done well. It's not as if we have a Darren Glass or Scarlett down there. In my opinion to win finals we are at least a big bodied defender short. Players who have beaten us are: Brown, Dawes, Cloke. You could mount an arguement that Jamison is the most important player to our side structure wise. Love to know winning percentage with & without Jamison

Recognition of the positive output from a Fevless Carlton this week is fantastic.

It's only the beginning.

We will (are) becoming more consistent every little step we take.

I've got money on a Flag, GF, Final 4 and Final 8 because I believed in what Ratts said preseason about a Fevless Carlton: we don't necessarily have to find 80 goals to replace Fev, we have to reduce the score we need to beat. It's looking good so far.

Ratts = Super Coach (if we win this year's flag). I'm not getting ahead of myself, I just know it's a possibility until proven wrong.

That's right, I might as well put money on port now! :banghead:

Week full of puff pieces = loss to any opposition, regardless of ladder position or talent

It's not like Dawes kicked a bag on us, but more to the point Bower couldn't go to him bec he was on Cloke

Interesting that, according to the article, McLean, Hadley and Grigg will train today for a spot in the team. Oh for the love of god please include Hads, the side is much better for his inclusion.
