Very poorly researched article for someone of Martin Blake's calibre - it was Alex Jesaulenko who brought the Mosquito Fleet together as a game plan when he took over as coach in 1978. Parkin did not come to the club till 1981.

As for Ken Sheldon - he could have done a bit more to make sure his son was part of Mosquito Fleet Mark II.

Interesting that the "mozzy, mozzy, mozzy" article says the Mosquito Fleet was a Parkin invention, which "helped deliver the 1979, '81 and '82 premierships to Princes Park."

Parkin is truly a genius if he was able to orchestrate Carlton's Premiership in 79, when he was Hawthorn coach.

Correctamundo. And Jezza was in charge when we started what became known as 'the premiership quarter'. Harmes should have rated a mention too, many a game in that 78-79 period especially when he was moved into the centre and destroyed sides with his pace and long kicking. Oh and Vinny Cattoggio wasnt too bad either. Brings a tear to me eye remembering those great days.
