If we win this won.

- We back up a great win with another against good oppostion
- We win on a 5 and half day turnaround
- We win interstate
- For the first time in 10 years we beat expectations, predictions.

Well if we don't beat Port, I for one will be throwing my popcorn on the floor and complaining to Village Cinema management that they never ever show that horrific movie ever again.

When the results speak for themselves I am positive and when the don't I am negative.
Basically, this is about the first time since 2001 where we have really performed

Next 2 are really important - dont want either them to slip

If anything the wins against Geelong and the Saints would have given them something that has missing for years and that is belief -

I wouldn't be counting too many chickens yet, but it would be VERY nice to put Port in their place. Then we have to make sure of West Coast and Hawthorn. Lot more wins to show we've arrived, but we look like we can do it.

Even if we do beat Port this Sunday, I doint think we would ve arrived based only on 2 back to back wins... We must maintain some consistency and string a 4-5 good wins togetehr in the next month or so before we can start talking ourselves up. No one will take us seriusly if we slip up against Port this week, or drop games against teams below us on the ladder like Hawthorn, West Coast, Melbourne or North..

..we should beat port.. ..they're a team we match up well on, and we seem to have no trouble beating them over in aami as well.. ..our next month has winnable games, win most/all and then we've arrived..

In terms of the players' belief in their abilities, I think the only mental ?'s left are a) Essendon* and b) big MCG finals.

Consistency in intensity and effort is a maturity issue. We are talented enough to beat Port. We SHOULD beat Port.

If we beat Port it will be because they had a downer or Tredrea was out, if we lose it will be because we are just plain crap.

Apparently the Geelong and St Kilda wins are "abbaritions" (thanks Tom Harley for that brain fart). Yet the loss to Collingwood confirms them as a genuine premiership contender and our general shyteness.

I feel that port are not playing that great a footy and are only just crossing the line there % shows that specially with lower sides then they are...

i feel the blues have a bit more punch in them then port..

I am not really looking forward to this game as i live with a port supporter (swmbo)

treadrea is out of the port side so its really only cornes to worry about and he isnt nothing to write home about

but i agree with most we have alot of hardwork still ahead of us we can't afford to let our guard down now...

Top 4 in the last few rounds and I'll be happy to say we've made really good progress.

Premiership and we've arrived.

It's all about consistency from here on in...from all concerned both players and coaching staff....belief in the game plan and continued execution and development of it....

Winning against Port would be great, but arrival won't take place until the chopper has landed...

We should win at least 4 of our next 5 before another tough stretch on other teams current form.

I don't know about arriving but we now have a road map and the club is on the right track.

Taken from '1001 Cliches" on sale at all good book stores :smoking:
