Do Thornton and Waite automatically return to the team? |

No. We won and that usually counts for something come selection time. Waite needs more than one week in the 2's to regain match fitness, or it wasn't really worth dropping him. And, at least from the Ants reports, Thornton didn't do anything to force his way back in, and White did enough. Hopefully Bower is able to make it back in. |

I wa a little bewildered with the way Waite and Thornton were played today. Not sure they showed anything to demand their return. |

Can I just say ..............on behalf of all the Capt Obviouseseseseses on TC. "We will have to play better than we did in (insert "time/quarter/game/season" here)" "We can't turn the ball over like we have been" "We have to kick the goals not points" "We have to go in hard" "We have to run" "We have to make sure our kickouts are perfect" "(Insert name here) can't play (Insert position here) "I hope Ratts knows about the Cats game plan" "I hope Ratts (Insert inane comment here)" No doubt I have missed some. Feel free to add ![]() Regards Cazzesman |

Again, I reckon you're borrowing from somewhere, then throwing in something completely stupid at the end. Carrazzo was important in our midfield structure and his disposal was much better. He's lifted a lot in comparison to his last 7 or so weeks of footy, full credit to him for doing that. It's got to be Robbo. Yes he was decent when he put his hand up in midfield, but 8 disposals and 2 frees against is not good enough (although I say that without knowing his TOG stats). He'll keep getting lost in contested work for a while yet because he's not quite strong enough, and he'll never be quick enough. |

We havent had a player as hard at the ball since Hickmott. |

Don't get me wrong; I want him there long-term, but for every one of those efforts he pulls, he has long periods of not being in the game. He's young and it will change, but I'd rather have Brock back in; he'll make a difference at almost every stoppage. I'm struggling to find any other weak links in the team so long as their touch is ok. |

Fev just kicked 4 in the third quarter by the way ![]() Anyway our backline did ok. Nice run, White showed plenty, and Ohailpin is an option to drop back worse case. I hope Bower is close, but that team today ran well and created space, go again. |

We all know Juddy is the next best thing to god but we need an inside midfielder rather than Juddy. He just cannot be expected to do it all especially against Geelong. If McLean is fit he is in. If not, Hadley. I know Robinson has his fans but he should be the one to go. In a Carlton win today, 4 kicks and 3 handballs isn't good enough. He hasn't done much in any other match this year either. Regaining Bower would be a bonus. But who to drop? It would be either White who had 9 kicks, 9 handpasses and 11 marks on debut or O'hAilpin who only kicked 1 goal and had 4 kicks, 4 handpasses and 1 mark. O'hAilpin is a favourite of mine but I reckon he would be the one to go. Play the kids. And keep playing it up the guts. Geelong will kill us on turnovers so we can't hang onto the ball. When we have it, move it and not to the boundary. |

we have a good inside mid, he is just injured at the moment, I'm really looking forward to seeing Judd benefit from his presence. |

Effes wrote: Do Thornton and Waite automatically return to the team? I think T-Birds career is in trouble due to a lack of athletic qualities. \early last year I said the same re Stevo, he was dropped before the neck injury. We have faster, taller, more athletic options for T-Birds spot. I would trade if anything decent was on the table. I don't buy he is a genuine option up fwd. Waite could easily play HB next week but Ratts sounds like he is hoping to have HB roles filled by others and has other things in mind for JW |
