It's funny, but I don't mind Wiggo in the leadership group. I reckon he's got his head well and truely screwed on right and is a perfect 'off-field' leader. From the outside looking in of course, he certainly comes across as being the perfect role model for our young blokes outside of football. IMO, you can't have too many of these sort of blokes to set the example. I hope it is true that he is a part of the leadership group. ![]() |

IMHO if you're not a regular in the best 22, you should not be in the Leadership group. Playing in the Bullants each week may earn you a young player's personal respect but not his professional respect. |

Hmm, I used to think that way but now I think you can be a leader in so far as other players not in the 22 might look up to you. What's important is you train the house down and do the hard yards. Not everyone is perfect. |

I actually think of it the other way around. if a guy like wiggo sets the example even though he's not a regular in the ones then good on him. just demonstrates how hard you have to work to get a senior game and to make the most of the chance if you do get a game. the good thing with wiggo is he will give his all any time he selected. |

It basically means when the kids run about in the Bullants, they have a member of the senior leadership group right there along side them. Sets a great example, sort of like a senior NCO. |

Is there a reason why they've tried to keep the members of the leadership group quiet? ![]() Is it because they're invisible out on the ground? ![]() |

Leadership was lacking against Essendon* tonight, save from a select few. This was one of the more disappointing aspects of a very disappointing game? One of the supposed senior players pulling the group aside on field and laying down the law might have been worth trying tonight. Still gutted at our apparent lack of desperation. ![]() |

I can't believe I'm saying this, but boy we could have done with Wiggo out there tonight. He usually plays with more balls and heart than the entire team tonight. |

Sad to say, but +1. This has to be the most introverted insipid group of players (Robbo and Santy excluded) we've ever had. Juddy's all class, but he ain't a bruiser. Interesting to see how they respond at AAMI next week. |
