Stevens' pinpoint disposal won't be replaced overnight, so lets see if the media experts comment on that fact.

They'll only go on about Fevola.

Kouta Wrote: Yarran needed to put his head over and tackle harder, but that will come with time and experience.

Yarran put plenty of pressure on during the game that resulted in goals. Strength in the ability to hold the tackle will get better with age, but you can't complaign about his efforts.

Kicking did not cost us that game...at 3 qtr time we were ahead and had all the momentum....and had 3 extra days rest over our opposition..not to mention the incentive and lessons learnt tactically from the final last year...and yet the result was the same.

Brown was the difference.

We're showing some good signs. Should have won the game, we dominated in key areas for large parts of the night and just didn't capitalise on it.

We may have lost, but Brisbane aren't anywhere closer to a premiership this year based on that performance.

We still have Judd to come. They have....who?

See you next time in Melbourne wankers, without your feral moronic supporters. Douche bags.

10 goals from Brown and Fevola.

End game.

Rubbish. We held Fevola. It's Brown who did the damage, and we even stifled his opportunities at times by forcing him to shoot from outside 50. Just his day.

We lost this game because the players refused to adapt in the first half, and that's a lesson that will hopefully stick this time. Away from that we absolutely dominated the game in terms of effort levels for 3.5 quarters. It's a shame it didn't come off, but with two quality players to come back into the team, I'm not worried at all.

If the Lions are a top 4 chance, then so are we.

A couple of times tonight, Betts and Yarran didn't go straight at the ball and the man, but glided past and made a lunge when they were in close.

That's what I saw.

Showed that Brown is the most influential forward in the game.

Dominant display. Again. Circles the carlton games the day of the draw coming out.

look i thought we did some things during the night - some good ball movement at times but i thought the boys paniced a bit at times and the resultant turn overs hurt us

for the first 3 qtrs we dominated the clearances in the last the lions matched us that coupled with our turn overs finished us

Poor disposal across the board. To single out a player for poor disposal is weak. Our general disposal under pressure continues to be poor.

Brown slaughtered Tbird and can only hope young Hendo develops into half the player Browney is and he'll be great for us.

Murphy Brock Simmo Carrotts were great for us.

5 day break vs 7 day break. Interesting.

Murdered out of the middle in the last, that was the difference. Brown got it on a platter. No way he would have kicked 7 playing for us tonight.

Missed Judd obviously, but sort of failed a test without him.

A plus, Fev didn't star and Hendo kicked as many goals

That's fair enough, but I thought Yarran especially did a good job the majoroty of the time. Actually Yarran might've done a better job than Thornton in defence.

Yep...combined with our early inaccuracy at goal.... Brown is a superstar, and with luck can change with the other....no need to slash wrists yet.

You can't blame Thornton.

Over hearing that tonight to be honest. It's round 2 FFS, not the middle of winter, and it's elite athletes with elite facilities that we're talking about.

I agree the Lions aren't even within cooee of top five, but if we had kept Fevola and Brown to 1 goal each we would've won.

Brown and Fevola, without Bower, were too much to handle.
