Here's the view of Blacktown Olympic Park from the wing where we were.
Image

Not that unhappy with the match overall, but very disappointed with the overall lack of effort and intensity from our guys.

For a match which we Carlton supporters helped sell out, and provided about 3-4000 of the 9732 crowd, it's still very frustrating that we get treated with such disdain by the club hierarchy, and it seems, the players when they come up here.

Give us more matches up here, dammit!

too bad the players weren't on the ground KK..... Channel Nine would flog that during the cricket coverage.

Fantastic night shot KK. Sure is a beautiful ground.

That spot you were at last night provided some good viewing.

A damn lot of Carlton jumpers at the game. Did you notice that?

Fantastic Carlton turn out.

Very true, bondi, even those who had to pack a lunch and get their passports for the trip from over east....

Maybe eventually someone at the Club will realise the level of Carlton support up here and not take us for granted.

Ah yeah, now I can see it. You'd miss it otherwise.

Great photo though. That's one thing I wish I could do.... take decent photos consistently. Will have to hit you for a master class one day.

The original looks good (even though it's a stitched together shot from 5 frames), it's just huge.

If I wanted to do something "Channel 9"-ish, I would have taken my proper camera last night. That shot was taken with my new G11, hand-held, 800ISO.

Happy to help if you want some pointers.

I know you've said it before that there has been research conducted in the past which shows we have a huge supporter base in Sydney. I was really impressed with the Carlton turn out.

There is plenty to work with in Sydney if the club is willing to take advantage of the existing supporter base. Just like the AFL, if I was Carlton I would be consolidating and growing my brand in Australia's biggest market: Sydney.

Given the ground is very good at GWS and the SCG gets a good crowd, the Blues will in some years after 2012 play 2 games in Sydney (you'd think so because of our pulling power, especially now we're off the bottom). If the Hawks and Pies are doing really well with their 3 game memberships, I can see something like that working for Sydney based Carlton fans. A new revenue stream.

Have you got more night photos you can display from last night?
