If it's true that he's done his ACL, well, I don't know how the Match Committee rate him but I reckon it's possible that that's it, and at the risk of looking like a dick if he's just done his posterior and he's back in round 6 and kicks 20 goals for us this year, can I just say: Well Done, Fish.

For many games in the dark days, Fish really was a great young player for us. A player picked late in the draft with two of the best hands in the AFL. I mean, seriously, he's one of the best marks at the club I've ever seen. A FANTASTIC pack mark. And in the dark old days, he was a genuine forward for us and he's due his due.

Bravo, Fish.

I am not a fan of Fisher or Wiggo's; that's an understatement.
I use to be a fan of both.

Having said that, I thought Fisher's game last night was fantastic as a lead up forward.
His marking was good and his contesting and chase fantastic.

He probably doesn't get exposed for pace so much against the Swans, as he does against other fast teams.

Just 2 games needed for 100 club/AFL games.
Sadly, with an ACL it seems it's all over red rover.

So sad.
Deserves 100, just like Wiggo did.
Last night before I heard of the injury, I thought it was good to still have him on our list for 2010.

All the best big fella.
I hope you can find those 2 elusive games at Carlton to have your name indelibly marked on the locker.

Top bloke, good servant, etc, etc but I don't think we'll miss him. Presents well, good hands, crap kick and gets exposed badly by the opposition. No great loss IMO.

His career was already hanging on by a thread. Perhaps he needs to consider the Malceski operation.

His season is over before it began. Time to hang up the boot I reckon...

No one deserves this type of injury (or any injury).

Get well Fish.

Shame for him and the club. Sort of player that could have helped us out in those flat weeks at the end of June through July. Might of pinched us a flukey 4 points on a cold overcast day at the G.

All the best for the future Brad Fisher.

I think that's an understatement, he has to have that operation to have any chance of playing AFL next year or beyond. Sad, because you could see how hard he was trying.

Good luck Fish.

Very bad luck
Does that mean we can nominate Casboult off the rookie list.

Why would you do that? The kid needs time to develop. If we still had an Under-19's you wouldn't be saying that, but that's exactly where Levi would be playing - with the odd stint pushing up into the magoos when a good matchup presented itself.

My suggestion to you would be that if you really wanted to see Levi Casboult play football - which it seems you do - then get up early on the weekends and go support the kid kicking the dew off the grass in the Bullant seconds where he'll develop as a footballer.

is this the Same Knee he injured few years a go?

although he is an average player, We could ill afford to lose Forwards who at least can stick their hands up and mark the footy....

His loss will Give Ratten no choice but to play Waite forward , right from Round 1

Yes.

Really disappointed for Fish. It takes a lot of talent to get to AFL level, and to have it seemingly taken away from him is very sad. Hope he can make a full recovery & he gets all the help he needs from the club, whether he's on the list next year or not.

As noted Fish has been a great servant for our club and has provided some shining light when there wasn't much to go around. The winning goal against Richmond all those years ago, for example. We still had Matty Allan on the list back then.

Whatever happens with his playing future, Fish has my best wishes. Best of luck to him.

So true camel......he has been cruelly struck down with so many injuries over the years.

When he was fit and firing; he was as good a mark as Swan McKay.
